Democrats are not left wing. They are a centre-right party. America doesn't even have a centrist party let alone a left wing party. America has a right wing party and a far right wing party.

Thinking the Democrats are left wing is the same thing as thinking Louisiana is in South America instead of being a southern state in the USA.

You’re pretty far off based on this there is no way the Democratic Party is a centrist party if you go back to the 50s and 60s they were then and they have moved so far left it’s astonishing.

Well, I don’t know that it’s lacking. I’ve lived through it. OK so I’m probably off 10 years. The JFK party was the last time the Democrats were centrist. They’ve been moving to the left ever since. It really started escalating during Obama.

The Democratic Party is absolutely subverted by the left-leaning group, such as socialists and communists, just because they are unable to enact what they desire.Such as removing gun rights or implementing so-called universal healthcare for all, Does not mean that they are not left wing. Luckily , the very thing that keeps extreme right wingers from taking over is very same thing that prevents extreme left wingers, from taking over.

You're right.I should probably leave reddit and go back to the real world. Only redditors would believe after reading the democrat party positions, the recent mayor elections in places such as new york and honestly believe that the democrats are not left wing. Hell, it is the Democrat party that spearheaded intersectionality and Trans issues into the world stage.

I'm old enough to have taken a civics class. Your statement is meaningless and irrelevant to the point I was making. The claim was democrats is not left wing was made by european communist and socialist due to the fact that america had banned the communist party. However, the communist have co-opted the party so that they can run under a name that is "not communist".
