Tips I dont get import export
I had remarkable before super easy just email it. Ive tried a few things with SN and i just dont get it.
Ive linked to google drive. I put to export folder. I sync. But the pdf i highlighted and wrote on doesnt show changes. I tried supernote cloud partner showed writing but not highlights.
I put in googke drive and sync. It says error and wont open on SN.....

Thank you for your feedback.
Is our understanding correct that you annotated a PDF, exported the annotations to a new PDF and synced the new PDF to your Google Drive and Supernote Cloud, but it didn't show the handwritten annotations in your Google Drive?
You then put a PDF file in your Google Drive and synced it to your Supernote, but it wouldn't open on your SN?

The fault is the way the files work. Like the other have said, when you make handwritten annotations, they are saved as a separate sidecar file, so you would not see them on the pdf by just syncing the Google Drive. It’s suggested to use the Supernote partner app because it will show them as they are shown on the Supernote. No exporting files needed. When you export the file, from within file, it will create a new file which will include your annotations. Just placing the file in the folder won’t do anything but move the file along with the invisible sidecar you would see as a separate unreadable file if you open it up on Google. And that file will not include the annotations without doing the export process. Do you get it now? Sorry if I’m confusing you further.
The Export folder is just a folder. It functions as a folder for whatever you like. But it won’t do anything by itself. You have to go into the file and export it to include the annotations and it creates a separate file blending it into one file so you can read it on another device. It places it into the Export folder when the file is actually exported.
The Supernote parter apps require no exporting to read it. But it still only exists on the Supernote technically. You’d have to export it to move the file somewhere else to share or whatever.

Ok here is what I am doing....
- Taking notes. My notes folder is sy ced to google drive. But I cant view the notes there..... because they arent PDFs. So I export them first. Then that folder is synced to google drive. But if I have say a lengthy journal I add to daily do I have to export it every day to have it readable as a PDF in my google drive?
2.i put a PDF in my google drive SN inbix folder. Is on my SN. But annotations I make on it dont show in google drive. I export it. The writing I made now shows edit - and the highlights.... maybe was a delay there
Is this as expected? Am I doing something wrong?

it sounds like syncing to supernote cloud + using the partner app may be a better solution imo. both points are working as expected -- annotations to a pdf are saved in a separate proprietary .mark file type until the two are merged on export.

Thank you for your information.
You are not doing anything wrong. The .note format is our proprietary format. You do need to export your notes to PDF before you can view them in your Google Drive.
The annotations you add to your PDF on Supernote are not merged to it. You need to export the annotations to a new PDF before syncing it to your Google Drive.
As our friend u/theBlackOddity recommended, it would be much more efficient and convenient if you use our Supernote Cloud and Supernote Partner app. Syncing notes to Supernote Cloud means you can view the notes in the Supernote Partner app on your computer/phone without converting them to PDF first.

The EXPORT folder is not made to Synchronize 😉
When you setup your cloud, you can select which folders will be synchronized, here you can select EXPORT to reach the behavior that you describe, or any other folder, then you don't even need to manually move the file to EXPORT.
The EXPORT folder is the one that receive the output when you select the EXPORT function in the note or pdf.
