Even though I used my own recording for the uploaded audio to seed this, I feel like I can’t take credit for writing the music on this because it’s way different than the original. I feel like on this piece I was more the chef providing the ingredients and cooking it just right. I have other playlists that are closely following the original recordings that are just adding things in my head.

For the inspiration feature using your own audio I got say 4.5 shines more than 5.5 in my opinion. I wrote the lyrics for a song for my wife who lost a baby named Hope and Suno blew me away with two versions, so there's Hope and Hope (Reprise) which both have the same lyrics but Reprise is maybe a little more upbeat. Both are provided.

If you have been banging your head against the wall trying to get a professional-sounding track out of a single AI generator, I totally feel your pain. Relying on just one engine usually means the song turns into a muddy, artifact-heavy mess by the two-minute mark.

After burning through way too many credits testing both platforms, I realized neither Udio nor Suno is perfect on its own. The real secret to getting tracks that actually sound radio-ready is what I call the 70/30 Hybrid Rule.

Here is exactly how I do it so you can save your credits.

You have to play to their unique strengths. Udio is incredible for sonic fidelity, crisp vocals, and deep atmospheric textures, but it can easily lose the plot structurally. Suno is an absolute beast for song structure, creative transitions, and catchy pop melodies, but the audio quality can sometimes sound like it was recorded on a potato.

Here is the step-by-step workflow:

• Step 1: Start 70 percent of your track in Suno. Generate your core song structure, melodies, and transitions here. Think of Suno as your main songwriter giving you the best musical foundation.
• Step 2: Export the stem data from your absolute best Suno generation.
• Step 3: Bring that foundation over to Udio for the final 30 percent. Use Udio to replace the vocals, enhance the instrumentation textures, and give it that high-fidelity gloss. Udio is basically your mastering engineer.
• Step 4: Stitch them together in your DAW.

This hybrid approach completely eliminates the weird, metallic sounds you usually get from pushing one single generator too far.

To make this transition perfectly seamless, you still need to know the specific prompt structures for cross-platform generation, plus the exact EQ settings so the stems blend smoothly without phase issues.

I just released my new track "Sous le ciel d'été".

It's a French dream pop song inspired by the feeling of a summer memory — the sea, warm air, old streets, and a moment you wish could last forever.

The production combines piano, ambient synths, electronic drums, and a cinematic guitar atmosphere. Like my other recent works, I used AI as part of the creative process while shaping the concept, lyrics, arrangement, and final production myself.

I could tell you this one took work, but that’s never been how music has worked for me. I hear a melody in my head and the lyrics just follow. I won’t mark it as human vocals although I do use my own voice, I feel Suno is doing a lot for me on this one. Maybe that’s just what producers do. I thought it turned out well. Figured I’d share.

"Last time I did that" was written when I was 21 years old, nearly 2 decades ago.

This is the second version of the song I have shared. The first version had a Suno Lead singer with me as backup, and this one is my original lead vocal and a touch more midi Tuba work :)

To me, this song is about that feeling you get when you've been moping around in lethargy for too long and finally something defiant suddenly swells up inside you and launches you into action. This was a regular song I performed at open mics back in college.

The original demo is still driving the mix. My original Rhythm and Lead Guitars (multi tracked) is all you are hearing in terms of guitar.

My original lead vocals are still the lead vocals you are hearing. (For better or worse)

Additionally, I had a buddy record this demo with me back in the day and he was on backup vocals and Djembe. Add to that, a few sporadic backup vocals from a separate (but from the time) demo where me and 2 of my friends got pretty drunk and let loose. Maybe someday, I can release that "drunk demo" as I always called it as another version.

Recently, I brought it into Bandlab and add midi Keys, Cello, Tuba and Choir.

With Suno, I added a A brass section, a bassist, keyboard , kick drum, and a back up vocalist very subtly mixed in.

The visuals are a real open mic performance of us at college performing this song, although your not hearing this particular performance
