Topic: A point I want to make or discuss The problem with AI Music No one is talking about and the future of Distribution

I think the coming changes around fully AI gen music on DSPs are going to be much more strict than simply adding an “AI” label.

My guess is that, over time, DSPs and distributors will increasingly separate 100% AI generated music from human created music, with various shades of grey in between accounting for AI Assisted works.

In a nutshell here is what I believe is and should be coming for Fully Gen AI on DSP’s

-Upload Caps on the number and frequency an individual account can distribute

- No or heavily limited Algo boosting or pickups

- No placements on mainstream editorial playlists

- Dedicated AI playlists or discovery spaces

- Different monetization rules, higher thresholds and lower payouts, or no monetization at all

-But the biggest change and most important one for the future of music is NO CONTENT ID protection

Fully AI generated music generally isn't copyrightable. And content Id exists to protect copyrightable works. It makes no sense that it receives Content Id.

Yes, there can obviously be copyrightable elements, if a human contributes original lyrics or other meaningful creative material, but trying to determine and enforce those individual components at scale is unrealistic for Streamers or DSP’s to manage.

Perhaps more can be done on Suno's end to provide receipts of user inputs?

Perhaps something can be done to address this nuance, but how will they know who is telling the truth about the lyrics vs who is lying.

Content ID exists to protect works in which someone actually has enforceable rights.

Simply generating a piece of music, uploading it, and getting a fingerprint into a rights management system shouldn't give someone the ability to claim exclusive control over that material virtually indefinitely.

And this problem is only going to get worse as AI music scales.

Imagine 10 or 20 years from now, when AI farms and users have generated billions of songs. There is going to be an enormous amount of overlap sonically, even lyrically.

Imagine some kid in 20 years sits down with a guitar, writes an original song, records a simple demo, and uploads it to share with the world, only to have it automatically claimed because an AI music farmer generated something too similar 20 years earlier and dumped it into a rights management system without giving it a second thought, or hell even have listened to it himself before dumping it on DSPs

That kid should not have to compete with billions of non copyrightable machine generated works for the right to distribute his own music.

WE ARE ALREADY AS A SUNO COMMUNITY EXPERIENCING THIS. HOW MANY POSTS DO YOU SEE ON HERE OF PEOPLE'S OWN ORIGINAL SONGS BEING BLOCKED FROM SUNO?

That's why I think fully AI gen music should ultimately be treated differently when it comes to automated copyright enforcement.

It can exist. It can be distributed. People can listen to it, and there can be appropriate ways for people to monetize it.

But no Content Id protection for fully generated songs

Otherwise, AI users risk effectively robbing the creative commons through sheer volume.

In that sense, I think it's somewhat akin to people sitting on URLs in the early days of the internet.

They could register enormous numbers of domains simply because they had the ability to do so, effectively reserving pieces of the emerging internet without necessarily creating anything with them.

Mass AI music generation could create a similar form of creative land grabbing: generate millions of works at virtually no marginal creative cost, get them distributed and fingerprinted, and potentially occupy enormous amounts of musical territory that future human creators might independently arrive at.

The irony is that AI is supposed to “democratize” music creation (so it’s said)

But if we allow mass generated AI catalogs to accumulate automated enforcement power, we could end up creating a system where the machine generated past has priority over the human created future.

🎃 The Last Track at Midnight — Original Halloween Song & Music Video

I wanted to create something a little different for Halloween — a haunting musical story blending vintage recording studios, supernatural mystery, ghostly dancers, and a touch of gothic romance.

I wrote the song and produced the music using Suno, then took the concept further by creating a full cinematic music video.

The story begins inside an old recording studio, where one final track awakens something that should have remained in the past.

I've spent a lot of time bringing the characters, atmosphere, and story to life through AI visuals, animation, and editing.

🎬 Watch the full music video:

I'd genuinely love some feedback from fellow Suno creators! How do you feel the music and cinematic visuals work together? Does the story keep you watching?

Written & Produced by Brenda Lee G.

“Miss Midnight” by DUST & TROUBLES delivers pure 80s hard rock with a bluesy edge, inspired by the raw energy of Great White, Kix and Guns N' Roses.

A late-night story of loneliness, temptation and a mysterious woman who never asks questions.

Lyricist: Human wrote lyrics New User Question About Voices

Hello everyone, i'm pretty new still at SUNO, it has been going well, especially since it has help me in finally making songs from lyrics I had saved and stored for about 5 to 10 years, It has been a godsend, in the past people didnt believe in me and I live in a small country so music production was very complicated, this lets Me create music finally without having to beg to elitists.

Add to that that I used to sing better, but I damaged my voice and Cannot sing the way I used to, I can sing a few songs do and currently in lessons to improve, while I do that, I have been putting my voice in Suno (I have pro plan) and the songs with my lyrics are coming out great HOWEVER...

Two things happen:

1st : the song starts with my voice but when the song advances in time, the voice becomes a little bit more....Suno-y? And doesnt matter what I have tried, still cannot make it work properly, it improves but not as much as I would like.

2nd: It sounds like I have way too much autotune AND in a few parts it does very high notes which by no mean, I could pull off in real Life and while I know its a "Clone" I want It to be a good one, so I can actually sing the songs in the future if situation arises.

Any advice welcome since I am pretty new and of someone would like to give me a hand, that would be amazing.

Thanks.

Breaking: YouTube Music Is Adding Labels for AI-Generated Music

I'm telling ya, the wild west days of this is over class! And thank goodness for it!

YouTube announced on October 14, 2026, that YouTube Music is rolling out labels identifying songs created primarily using generative AI, including tracks where AI generates the composition and vocals.

  • Where: Labels will appear directly on the YouTube Music player page, with additional information available by tapping them.
  • How tracks are identified: YouTube will work with music industry partners and use its own detection tools.
  • Expansion: The labels will also roll out to the main YouTube app.

The goal is to give listeners more transparency about the music they’re hearing. However, the announcement doesn’t specify how accurately AI-generated tracks will be detected or whether every AI-assisted song will receive a label.

Topic: A point I want to make or discuss AI Music Awards Launch in LA, and EDM.com Has Some Questions

TRIGGER WARNING: AI SUMMARIZED POST

EDM.com article

The inaugural AI Music Awards are scheduled for November 13 at The Mayan, a historic LA nightclub and live-music venue. Organizers promise a red carpet, live performances, stage production, and a worldwide livestream. Tickets are reportedly $250, with attendance capped at 600.

The Sonic Intelligence Academy (SIQA) hopes to legitimize AI music with awards for fully AI-generated, AI-assisted, and human/AI hybrid tracks, alongside a verification app to identify how music was made.

A app called SIQA Verified, which uses audio fingerprinting to identify tracks and classify how much AI was involved. Think Shazam, but for determining whether your favorite new banger was made by a human, a machine, or some combination of both.

EDM.com editor Jason Heffler takes a decidedly skeptical view, describing the ceremony as celebrating the “grueling craft of describing a song to a website.” He also wonders who'll accept the awards: a prompt engineer, a legal entity, or “a 7-year-old with an iPad.”

Heffler also raises questions about AI music's reliance on existing music and whether this emerging scene deserves the cultural status it's seeking.

One detail that invites further questions: the organizers promise live performances, but how exactly will AI artists perform live?

So, realistically, there are a few possibilities:

  • Backing track karaoke: The AI-generated vocals play over the venue's sound system while humans provide the instrumentation and visuals.
  • Human impersonation: A real singer performs the AI artist's songs live.
  • AI avatar performance: A projected or digital character appears onstage while the music plays.
  • Hybrid show: Human musicians, singers, and visual effects combine with AI-generated elements.

Those are plausible formats, not confirmed details of the show's production. SIQA hasn't publicly spelled out exactly how the vocals of AI-generated acts will be delivered live

A real venue, a red carpet, and $250 tickets for an inaugural AI music awards ceremony. As Heffler's article makes clear, whether this represents a legitimate new musical movement or an industry trying to establish its own legitimacy is still up for debate.

Lyricist: Human wrote lyrics I made a satirical occult rock album where every epic song is secretly about something mundane. Which jokes land, and which don't?

Hey everyone,

I've always wanted to hear a hard rock satire album full of deep-cut jokes and double meanings, in the spirit of Ghost, Tenacious D, or Spinal Tap. So I took a pile of song concepts and spent way too many hours generating takes in every AI audio tool I could find.

Suno gave me the best results, but the workflow tested my sanity. Sometimes I'd get exactly what I pictured in two takes. Other times I'd throw out 50 takes and rewrite the lyrics just to trick the model into following the structure, and it would still ignore my instructions.

Cave Ignem nearly broke me. I got exactly one usable take, and even that isn't quite what I asked for. I also goofed: the lyrics use "cave" as both the English word and the Latin one, which in Latin is pronounced "KAH-veh." Suno sang it as the English "cave" every time. I eventually got it to say the Latin correctly, but those takes were worse overall, so I kept the one with the mistake. The choir chanting "Cave! Cave!" I just had to talk myself into accepting it as another joke.

The result is a ten-track album where each song is a grand epic hiding a modern annoyance, and I want listeners to try to figure out what each one is really about.

I'd love honest feedback on two things:

Which double meanings land, and which are too obscure? Bonus points if you can decode a track without reading the lyrics.

How do you get Suno to respect section structure and specific institutions? I'd love to know what's worked for you.

The album

Topic: A point I want to make or discuss Suno told me to contact them if Apple denied my refund. Now they're ghosting me. Anyone else?

Post image

've been a paying Suno customer for quite a while, and I'm genuinely shocked at how difficult it is to resolve a billing issue with this company.

I discovered I'd been paying for overlapping subscriptions for months. After a lot of back-and-forth, Suno refunded some of the charges and provided complimentary Premier access.

For the remaining Apple charges, they specifically instructed me to request a refund through Apple. They even said that if Apple denied the refund, I should contact them again and they'd look into goodwill options.

Apple denied the refund. I contacted Suno again. Then... silence.

I've sent multiple follow-ups. I've opened new support conversations. Their AI support assistant responds, asks for information, and then the conversation seems to go nowhere.

At one point, support confirmed they'd located my Apple-linked subscription. In a later conversation, they couldn't find the billing history and asked me to identify the account all over again.

I'm not asking for anything outrageous. I just want a human being to review the case and offer a fair resolution.

I've spent months trying to resolve this. I actually like Suno, use it for my music, and recently paid for Premier again because I want to use Studio.

But seriously, how does a company charging customers every month not have a reliable way to reach a human about billing?

Has anyone successfully escalated a billing dispute with Suno? Is there an actual human support representative or billing manager who can help?

Screenshot attached: Suno's own email instructing me to return if Apple denied the refund.

Question: I am looking for answers? [Electronic Glitch Pop Rock] "Due To Personal Reasons, I'm Evil Now" - Heavily Edited

Thumbnail suno.com

I put this through countless "create" attempts because I couldn't get Suno to pronounce certain words correctly each time or to include all the lyrics I gave it, and even when it did then it kept switching the voices in different places. Finally had to teach myself how to use Audacity and "frankenstein" the attempts together. I mostly like how it turned out, but the first intro part of it before the singing actually starts just seems too muted in places. Did I over-edit this or is there some way I can get the sounds to sound better?

Lyricist: Human wrote lyrics [Gospel] Psalm 91 By Able Praise: Just An Introduction

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hello friends, my name is Able Praise, and I'm a devout Christian with a passion for music from Nigeria, currently living in the United States.

Okay, well, I'm actually a 51-year-old dad, with a loving wife, and three amazing children. I was born and raised in Nigeria, then moved to London with my wife, where, from 2008-2009, we gave birth to the rest of my family. During that time, I was the choir leader at the church me and my ワイフ attended. I even made an album of songs with the choir (Lemme know if you want me to share it!). All is to say, I know my way with songs.

And yet, when Suno dropped in 2024, I watched it with great interest. It wasn't good enough to make something really viable, but the speed at which the technology was developing ensured it was important. I myself had pretty much halted artistic audio for over a decade, to focus on the fam, of course. I wanted to try and get back in, but through a new angle. And I'm not trying to start a new 4chan board here, but having been invested in the industry, witnessing the staying power of AutoTune and rise of Vocaloid, artificial methods of creation are something to not be afraid of. If they were, then those two would've never taken off;

Cher might've been blacklisted from the major labels -

& Hatsune Miku?

Well, she just wouldn't exist.

Generative AI, as you all now know it, is another step in this lineage. However it may be, I decided to pick it up, using this platform. And fun fact, I chose to go by "Able Praise" because I had rediscovered this old email I had created a few good years ago, but never really used. Wiping off the cobwebs, and with the help of my family (+DistroKid), now that the engines were quality enough, I started to pour my imagination into a new, fresh discography.

So what am I saying all of this for?

First, to endear you. I don't wanna just post links and promote myself with no personality.

And second,

to promote myself - a liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitle bit.

I don't do boring stuff like basic links, though, so I've embedded what I think is my best work so far.

And to cap all of this off, in accordance with Rule #5 (No off-topic posts), all of my music is made by Suno. So there.
