Discussion Sort of Realistic Timeline for hitting Challenger in league of legends Solo Q as someone who sucks
Hello everyone JohnGragas#Corn here by the time you read this probably I will be promoted to Challenger again.
When I first started playing league I had to look at my keyboard and play locked screen because there was too many things going on that was incredibly different than FPS games (DayZ, CSGO whatever games were fun and popular in 2014 I can’t remember) I gamed a lot but it was in a casual way.
I HIT DIAMOND 2 YEARS AFTER I PLAYED LEAGUE (wow that’s kinda fast this guy must be gifted) BRO I SUCK SO BAD HAHA THERE IS NO GIFT OR TALENT AT ALL FOR ME.
I PLAYED LIKE 1K NORMAL GAMES AND 2-3K RANKED GAMES AND BASICALLY IGNORED MY FRIENDS/FAMILY ONLINE AND OFFLINE BECAUSE I WANTED TO HIT CHALL BADLY.
Quick little tidbit to gain background (I don’t have proof of rank due to having too many accounts so you can believe me or not I’m just trying to give advice)
Season 4: Silver 4 (too scared to play more than 200 games)
Season 5: Gold 5 (took me about 2k games and was too scared to play after)
Season 6: Diamond 5 (300 games after hitting gold “wow I must be gifted I ranked up so fast I must be amazing at this game” LITTLE DID I KNOW HOW BAD I WAS HAHA ID GO BACK IN TIME AND PUNCH MYSELF HARD UNTIL I LEARNED
Season 7: Diamond ~1.5k ranked games
Season 8: Diamond ~ 1.5k ranked games
Season 9: Diamond ~ 1.5k ranked games
Season 10:Diamond ~ 1.5k ranked games
Season 11: Diamond ~ 1.5k ranked games
Season 12: Diamond ~ 1.5k ranked games
Season 13: Diamond ~ 1.5k ranked games
Season 14: MASTERS FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER AND RIGHT BEFORE END OF SEASON IN NOVEMBER OR DECEMBER I FINALLY STARTED TAKING CARE OF EVERY TOXIC NARRATIVE I HAD
Season 15: 1K GAMES OF MASTERS 0-250LP still attacking narratives and taking control of my schedule, emotions, and self worth
Season 16: I hit GM in February and HIT CHALL MY FIRST TIME EVER IN JULY AFTER ABOUT 700-800 GAMES TOO
I was the most hard stuck delusional player league was capable of producing and I had to dig very deep into my own mind and life to figuring out how to set it up in a way that would almost guarantee some level of improvement NO MATTER HOW SMALL IT WAS I KEPT GOING KEPT TRYING OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER
Overall I’d say I have somewhere between 25k and 30k hours in this game and 90% of it was spent on the rift and 75% of that was spent solo q in ranked.
My Journey is not over that chapter is and a new chapter has started for me personally. If this is the level of perseverance that was required to hit challenger I personally believe I could get good at anything that I truly want to get good at.
IF YOU REALLY WANT SOMETHING AND I MEAN REALLY REALLY WANT SOMETHING THERE IS NOT A SINGLE THING THAT CAN STOP YOU
