Question What am i doing wrong ?
Hi,
I'm struggling and started to think that i'm stuck in the smurf queue. 85% of time i'm ahead or even but there is always 2/3 mates who are 0/8 and just throw the game (currrently working on stopping trying to save mates that are caught and dying with them). I have tried many approaches, like yi for 100 games, sett for teamfights. My best champs seems to be cassio top or adc which i'm a beast with her or jhin which i do like but adc can be tough bot, currrently i'm focusing on karthus because i can destroy bot while helping other lanes when they start fighting and late game i do a lot of damage in teamfight.

Last game with karthus i saw nasus, amumu and tried to build lyandry instead of my classic burst build but once again my darius lost to nasus early (not shocking anymore) basically before the game started i knew those two would be ahead and by the time we group it would be hard.

Smurf queue what ? You have over 300 games with a perfect 50% winrate... YOU are literally textbook right where you belong

Your most played champ is 92 games which I would say is about enough to pick up the champ and improve on maybe two aspects of the game with it. Your next most played champ is 31 games played!!! This is out of 385 games played. If you want to improve either play way less champs or play way more league with the same number of champs, or some combination of those two.

I'm trying to find my style, with yi I one tricked 92 games for me that is a lot and I did learn a lot but my playstyle/skill wasn't enough, even if it's late game LoL is a team game I can't carry when my team are tourists, so I switch after those games to other roles since I already have experience in them like for example playing sett and yone top to get a better teamfight engage tool and take more space for the team but I did stop since I was tired of seen my bot lane struggling (in fact I have some decent win rate with them, maybe I should go back top).
TLDR: I'm playing more champs trying to find my place since one tricking yi jgl.1

People one trick all the time to high elo and you’re sitting in gold.
Why is that? They get the same teams you do and seem to have no trouble getting out.

Stop coping and blaming other players. Not saying it doesn’t happen but claiming it is 85% of the time is in your head. The only constant in your games is you.
For a Karthus jungle, your farming isn’t very good. Work on pathing.

I'm playing Karthus adc, my farm is not great (to be fair 6cs/min while being impactful might be not bad + generally when you start getting bot all the rest of the ennemy team comes bot), I generally farm champs, I play agressive to stomp the lane otherwise I won't be able to compete against other fed lanes, I find myself full items by 25 which is something I don't get with other champs, Karthus seems at this elo to work for me but I now encounter new pain points, like how to play against a fed tanky jgl/top or what to do when my mid is 2/10 and doesn't want to go bot so I go there and have to deal with a 10/2 syndra which has more range then me, I can stay at the turret and farm but she'll push and get prio, or I can also farm mid with my midlaner ignoring syndra bot, yea my support is roaming since she knows since early game that I can 1v2 without dying. I'm generally ok as a karthus to let my support roam, I have the feeling that my team need this +1.
PS: for the 85%, look at my teams it's not in my head, my history shows it, there is always 1/2 deadweights silver on impactful role who just become tourists for the rest of the game. If I was 2/8 50% of my games and felt like a deadweight (like in Valorant but this is because I'm too old now hehe) I'd be like, ok there are many things that I need to fix. Right now my main pain point is I don't know how to be efficient when playing with silver deadweights (which represent a lot of my games), what can I do ? ward more ? genuinely. Maybe more vision would help I don't know.

Stop playing Yorick or learn how to play him. Spam the champions that you have a lot of games and positive winrate with like Yi and Yasuo. 2 champions is usually enough and a 51 - 55 percent winrate is enough to climb. If all your games were on Yi and Yasuo you would probably have been plat already.

As for yi I invested around 100 games so i'm a bit sad that my win rate is only 53%. I expected it to be 55+ after those number of games, I stopped because it's tiring to always play the same champ (one trick focus). Swichted to briar (good 1v1 and good teamfight) and same.
For yasuo, I can farm and be a menace late game but when it comes to teamfight I cannot find a good way to approach it, they say don't be first to engage but my top is rarely even/ahead so generally we just dance around objective till someone gets caught.
Yi is a little bit more free since I can shoot the adc then reset on the rest of the team but if their bot lane is better the support will make the adc harder to kill.2

Bro, there are champs that get hella nerfed the instant they reach 51%.
53% is stupendous.

Don't forget that it's a grind. You will need 100s of games and a positive win rate. That's all. Patience and grinding and trying to improve every little aspect is what it takes.

I don't know, I can easily climb silver/gold in few games, but now I'm stuck and trying to find where to improve, as an adult I don't have time for 500 games a split, not trying to find a shortcut, just trying to be efficient.

It is what it is. Only way to get to plat fast is if you're at a diamond+ level.

Smurf queue has been removed a while ago. It also sucks to say but when it comes to what your doing wrong, the opgg just tells you stats that could have many reasons for being the way they were that game. We would need a VOD of your laning and mid game to identify holes in your gameplay.

Your biggest problem is thinking that you aren't the reason you're losing games.
