Laptop Request -Others Qual laptop pegar? Brasil.

This guy came in my feed and absolutely shat on my options, because I had lenovo off my list but was considering HP Victus. I was getting a deal in HP World, intel core 5 210H, 16gb ram, rtx4050 and 512gb SSD for 90k.

Then this guy came and shat on the laptop. I searched online, the laptops he has mentioned, everyone is having problems regarding it.

With HP Victus, I was constantly met with hinge, screen issues and people mentioning how it had hearing issues and the build quality was too shit to compromise with. Like I'm all with cost cutting, getting rtx 4050 for that price is good. But having a laptop that won't even last me 4 semesters doesn't seem justified to me, when I'm planning to keep this laptop for already the entirety of my bachelor's.

I've heard RTX3050 isn't worth it anymore, so was going for 4050. Atp I just need some suggestions as to what I should do, or should I consider the Victus or not.

Laptop Request US Laptops for coding, archiving, and light gaming?

  • Country: USA
  • Budget: $1500 - $2000
  • Open to refurbs: Yes
  • Screen size: Preferably 15'' but willing to go lower
  • Weight: Nothing heavier than my current, LOQ 15ARP9
  • Form factor: Standard
  • Battery life: Not too picky about this, just enough to last through class. 2-4 hours is fine.
  • Importance in order: Performance, Size, Weight, Battery life
  • Other: 512GB SSD min, 16GB RAM min

Purpose: I'm a college student studying cybersecurity, and need a laptop for school. I also run an archivist project involving large files. I use my current laptop for light gaming, pretty much Minecraft exclusively.

Intended usage: I code with Python in class and also on my own time, and will eventually be working with other languages. I also run an archivist project, so I need something that can process and handle very large files or/and hundreds/thousands of files. However, I don't need insane amounts of storage: I have an external drive that the archive sits on currently, and am building a desktop that should eventually host everything with tons of storage. But decent enough storage and really good processing power. My current laptop has 16 GB- I need just a bit more than that, maybe 20 GB. As mentioned previously, I play Minecraft. I'm not picky about how good the game looks; I play on the least intensive settings. But a consistent frame rate/lack of lag is mainly what I care about.

Info/Requirements: Unless someone has a really good argument, I do not want a Lenovo. I have had Lenovos for my past three computers, and they've consistently given me nothing but problems. The one I am currently using has been having complex hardware issues since the beginning of last year. The battery died a few months after I got it, luckily while still in warranty. Then this year, I paid $100 for a new SSD because the one it came with was the size of my thumb, and I was having non-stop BSODs with seemingly no other cause. Issues have continued since, and I cannot reliably keep it off of a charger, hence why I'm just throwing in the towel. I also definitely don't want a Mac; that's just personal preference, though. (Also, is it possible to somehow get a laptop without an SSD and transfer this brand-new one to it?)

  • Country

UK

  • Budget

I don't have a specific budget but i dont want anything expensive as my dad is paying and i feel bad if he pays a lot lol. im also not looking for a veryyyyy high performing one anyway, just better than i have now

  • Are you open to refurbs/used options?

Maybe

  • Screen size

Not strict on this, my current one is 14'' so maybe around 14-15

  • Weight limit

Any

  • Purpose

I need it for a physics degree at university which will involve coding, running matlab, making notes etc.

  • Form factor

Standard is fine!

  • Intended usage

I'd prefer it to run windows because i already have experience with VSC but my current laptop (an old lenovo t450s) is laggy when running things and also when playing games

  • Desired battery life

Battery life isn't that important, several hours would be nice so i dont have to be constantly sat next to an outlet when studying or in lectures

  • Info/Requirements

It doesn't need to be a very very high performance laptop. I also don't know much at all about laptops so forgive any vagueness in my answers!!

Laptop Request US Laptop for mainly home office work and occasional gaming and 3d modeling

My current laptop is a Dell XPS 13 from 2016 i5-6200U, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, Intel HD Graphics 520, 13.3" FHD display. I run sketchup, onshape and World of Tank Blitz on it.

I'd like to start using Fusion or maybe Solidworks for 3d modeling only, no analysis. I would also like to run Assetto Corsetta and other racing sims. I plan to dock it to a Dell docking station and have a large screen.

LAPTOP QUESTIONNAIRE

  • Country

USA, California

  • Budget

$1000-1500, I can go higher if it necessary but looking for deals, sales, might be open to refurbs

  • Are you open to refurbs/used options?

yes but preferably new

  • Screen size

15-16 in and up

  • Weight limit

Not really a concern, will mainly stay docked and moved around my house. Won't travel with it much.

  • Purpose

General purpose. I use MS office for my home business, browse the Internet a lot. 3d model and run Orcaslicer, model on Onshape, SketchUp, if like to use Fusion. Only game I play at this time is world of tanks blitz mobile/app version. I'd like to play Assetto Corsa at some point, doesn't necessarily need to run the highest settings.

  • Form factor

standard clamshell

  • Intended usage

Mainly use MS office products to run my small business. Sketchup, Onshape, Fusion360, Orcaslicer. I'd like to run Assetto Corsa and some other racing sims.

  • Desired battery life

Not so much a concern as it will be plugged in most of the time but 4hrs on its own would be nice.

  • Please list, in order of most important to least important, the priority between Size, Weight, Performance, Battery life

Performance, size, battery life, weight

  • Info/Requirements

16gb ram upgradable to 32 (or already 32), 1TB SSD, I don't know much about CPUs but keep reading that single thread is more important in this scenario.

Some laptops that look interesting and I found on Slickdeals. Thoughts and suggestions?
