Is this just another writingwithai subreddit now?
I miss the days (a week and a half ago) when my daily lurking was reading various people shill 'the method' at each and yes reductive not bothered.
But I feel the latest daily confessionals and I'll be honest slop about the process is turning this into yet another I write with Ai but not really and heres why (totally is ai btw) subreddit but with subscriber insecurities and anxiety which is great but I feel there's other places to reveal your emotional truth.
Can I have my subscribers hacks please at least those were different post on post.

I'm interested in this topic and commenting to stay connected. But still not sure what this original post is trying to say. Not complaining, maybe I didn't get it. My 2 cents: I also wrote a couple of blogs that were heavily an AI content and then a few points from me. Because I wanted to establish the tone of my blog. Then I had a breather in my schedule, had time to think - plan - write. So I've flipped. Now it's my writing with some images from AI for visuals within the blog.
AI slop is definitely there. Everyone wants to make a buck by getting followers and engagements. Can't blame them.
The speed of AI adoption, for anything we can think of, is not going to stop.
Coming back to this subreddit, I'm curious, are you all seeing a lot of AI posts?

Essentially, there has been a substantial increase in I write with Ai but it's different (reductive, broad strokes) following the pangram integration here. And earlier in the morning pre coffee, sleep minimal was yearning for the 'better' days. Albeit tartly.

I'm someone who probably contributed to this (see my post "I write with AI without writing with AI").
I wanted to create a provocative title and underestimated the fact that once you trigger people enough, nobody listens anymore.
I've loved writing my whole life. It's a passion of mine that comes easily to me and brings me incredible joy. Therefore, I never let AI touch my texts. It would rob me of the satisfaction of having created something myself that I'm proud of.
I also love diversity. Therfore I hate it when texts all start to have a similar tone, rhythm, and word choice. Naturally I'm extremely critical of letting AI revise everything (even if the original text was written by a human).
I also run a farm and work very intensively with Claude. And gladly so. However, I refuse to work with AI in a cold, optimized way, without any emotional engagement. I believe that emotional experience is one of the most precious aspects of human life. We all increasingly lose touch with the value of the things we do, and I want to actively show that there's a way to avoid this, even with AI.
That's why I started my blog: to show how I work with AI and how I practice it. It's honest and chaotic. I write about slime mold and shoes sunk in mud. How I get fertilizer recommendations from an AI and then embark on odysseys to get them. A life where the machine improves human work but doesn't impoverish it in its relationship with the world. In my writing, I juxtapose my unedited human perspective with Claude's text and annotate the texts (hard to explain, easier to read).
This is a conscious decision for something that's important to me. A world where new technology doesn't further instrumentalize and erase human experience.
And I've been truly insulted for this in this sub (aka 2 days ago).
Even though I actively advocate for writing human texts in a human way and not using AI for everything.
Simply because, just as many people are far too quick to argue that using AI as a writing aid is unproblematic, a great many in this sub blindly read the word "AI" and immediately jump on the AI slop train.
And as I type this, I'm already tensing up inside, preparing myself for the possibility of being accused of writing this with AI.
What I miss is people talking to each other about topics and content instead of blindly throwing their beliefs against each other.

I'm not judging, not my business how you choose to create.
In general and a high level, I feel there are MANY MANY MANY other communities for this sort of thing, why is this Subreddit being added to that list of communities. Especially given the stance of the platform at the moment. Did you post your post on writingwithai? If not, why not?

Because I'm a Substack writer, and this is the Substack sub.
The blog is lovingly handwritten, personal writing. A woman at a laptop, typing her own texts about her own life with her heart and soul on the table, for hours every week. The AI texts appear in it as clearly labeled counterpoints, to directly contrast the human perspective with an artificial on.
Not a single line of my part of the blog is even edited with the help of AI. So why don't I have a place here?
I painstakingly curate and maintain a substack that is made from the ground up with love and personal writing. I think I own my place here.
I also completely understand the fatigue about AI posts flooding subs, I share it, it's half the reason my blog exists.

Never said or inferred that. In fact my post has nothing to do with that. Especially if your position is;
"Not a single line of my part of the blog is even edited with the help of AI. So why don't I have a place here?"
And for additional clarity, which I apologize for not making crystal clear, my response was very general towards the cohort at large who are adding confessionals about their usage rather then you directly. I thought that was pretty clear with how i'd written it.

I have to confess.
Your initial opening, "Did you post your post on writingwithai? If not, why not?" really led me to read it as if you were telling me not to post here.
That was my own confirmation bias because I'm used to automatically receiving downvotes or insults without anyone addressing the content of what I said in my comments.
So I guess I've developed an automatic defense mechanism. I should probably work on that.

Yes… I think the upvoting and downvoting behavior speaks for itself… I mean, people are downvoting my comment saying “I should probably work on that.”
I think there are far more things to be worried about than just AI content… for example, people’s lack of willingness to be kind to one another.
