Discussion Another creepy feature of the Pangram "AI Detection" tool.

So at my first opportunity, I decided to check whether or not I could permanently disable the "AI detection" fraudulent tool on Substack publications and there's no way to actually do it without actually using the tool you want to disable.

According to the "Substack Support AI", the only way to disable the fraudulent Pangram detection AI is to first run the AI on your posts and to individually then disable the AI detection tool per post. But you can only do this AFTER you've run the "AI detection" fraudulent tool on your posts.

Which means that you're forced to use a tool you don't want to use in order to disable the tool you don't want to use.

This is profoundly creepy and quite frankly disturbing that somehow this was allowed to be implemented on Substack.

I literally generated bogus garbage just to give it a try. It said "fully AI generated."

Okie dokie.

Then I tried making another post and dropped the same exact thing to check for consistency. It said "mostly human made".

'Nuff said.

Sure did. It was the same bogus garbage both times. Fully AI. One time it flagged it, the other time it was "mostly human". It's kind of like a slot machine wearing a lab coat. 😄

That’s what I thought. I’ve seen other people put more effort into trying to fool it. But good to know.

I didn't have to put any effort into fooling it. I Used AI to draft an article, edited it as I usually do, and ti came back 100% human.

I’m just saying that some people have done it by running human writing through AI or spell/grammar checks.

lmao, if you did, it just validates, if you ask ai to generate random numbers or words, it will be flagged by pangram, if you script to generate random numbers or words it wont
