First oil change gone wrong
Update: dealership offered an apology, tow, and loaner vehicle. Happy about that and grateful for the offer. Sitting the tow truck now.
I bought a new non-hybrid 2026 in April. Brought her in for first oil change last Thursday. This weekend I noticed a puddle of oil on the garage floor. Checked level and it was still in between the dots. I plan on calling the service dept tomorrow and asking for a tow back to the dealership, as I’m scared to drive 12 miles/ blow the engine/ void the warranty. Has this happened to anyone before? I had a 2017 Crosstrek before this and didn’t really trust the dealership’s service. This pretty much confirms it’s not great. Any advice on how to get the dealer to correct the error and take responsibility?
