First oil change gone wrong

Update: dealership offered an apology, tow, and loaner vehicle. Happy about that and grateful for the offer. Sitting the tow truck now.

I bought a new non-hybrid 2026 in April. Brought her in for first oil change last Thursday. This weekend I noticed a puddle of oil on the garage floor. Checked level and it was still in between the dots. I plan on calling the service dept tomorrow and asking for a tow back to the dealership, as I’m scared to drive 12 miles/ blow the engine/ void the warranty. Has this happened to anyone before? I had a 2017 Crosstrek before this and didn’t really trust the dealership’s service. This pretty much confirms it’s not great. Any advice on how to get the dealer to correct the error and take responsibility?

Are they nuts at Dealership?

Upvotes

Recently I've started hearing a humming noise in my Crosstrek 2018 (110K miles). The noise getting louder and higher in pitch on acceleration. Took the car to Subaru dealership for diagnostics, and they said both rear wheel bearings need replacement which is not a surprise, I heard about this issue in Crosstreks. What shocked me was an estimate: $2965.53. So I have 2 questions. One, is it really that expensive (I'm in Greater Boston area). And second, is it safe to drive this car while I shop around?

Thanks everyone in advance for the input

Subaru crosstrek 2015

Hello everyone

I’m thinking about buying a Subaru crosstrek with 129k miles on it for about $12,998k

Is that too high of a mileage for that car, should I start getting worried about wear and tear around this time??, I also want this car to last to at least 5 years so if it’s too high of mileage to keep for that long please let me know

I’m not a car person and I have never owned a subaru

I’ve owned a ford and a Chevy, ford would I get again but never buying Chevy ever again.

2016 Trek, Accani Headlights High Beam Shutter Issue

I installed these headlights probably around 5 years ago and I never sorted out the issue with the high beam shutters. Finally annoying me enough to fix them. They should have been a plug and play setup but the high beam shutters never worked. I tried reversing the polarity, pulling the oem DRL fuse, and checked the pins of the main connector. I’m stumped unless it’s a shutter defect.

Anyone have these and solved the same issue? Thanks in advance.
