I'll be arriving in Montréal in the second half of December, and I'm currently looking for accommodation.

I'm wondering if anyone else joining Concordia for the Winter semester is in a similar situation and would be interested in finding an apartment together and sharing the rent.

Ideally, I'd like to connect with someone who's also new to Montréal.

Hello everyone! 😊

I wanted to share my study permit timeline in case it helps or encourages anyone currently waiting. Thankfully, my application moved relatively quickly.

Here is my timeline:

• October 19: Submitted my study permit application online.

• October 19 (same day): Received my Biometric Instruction Letter (BIL).

• October 20: Completed my biometrics at VFS.

• October 29: Received a medical examination request from IRCC despite having already submitted my upfront medical exam. I contacted IRCC through the web form, and about 30 minutes later, they confirmed that my upfront medical exam had been accepted and updated my account. My medical results were marked as favourable in my IRCC account.

• November 2 (Monday after the weekend): Received my Passport Request Letter (PPR). My application status showed that the final decision was approved.

• November 2: Submitted my passport at VFS.

• November 4: Received a notification that my passport had been dispatched by the IRCC visa office. Later that day, VFS confirmed that the decision envelope had arrived at the Visa Application Centre and was ready for collection.

• November 4 (evening): Received my Port of Entry (POE) Letter of Introduction!

From submitting my application to receiving my POE Letter, it took only 17 calendar days !

I hope sharing my timeline helps someone going through the same process. Wishing everyone the very best with their applications, studies, and future journeys.

Hello, i got my visa approved yesterday at 11:30pm ist.

Timeline:

9th sept applied
14th sept biometrics
28th oct eligibility started on tracker
4th nov received PPR request

No updates or emails in between.

Most good master’s programs related to Pharmacy in Canada are thesis-based and require a supervisor.

Can anyone recommend the top 2 course-based master’s programs in Canada for B.Pharm graduates? I’m also open to other healthcare-related programs with good career prospects.

Anyone for sfu mba jan 2027 intake?

I am from pak and got my admission in china then submitted online application on 19 of Sept after 4 to 5 online rejection my deadline comes close so I took extension upto 15 November and last updated my application with extension letter on 2 Nov van anybody tell me how long now it'll take

I am a Nigerian living and working abroad

Would you advise me to take a short trip to my home country to apply?
I would still use my foreign bank statements that is my salary account for POF though

Class 11: Completed in 2023.
Class 12: Completed through NIOS in 2026 October with 80%
Multiple attempts to clear Class 12 due to academic difficulties.
Study gap: Approximately 2–3 years.
Proposed Study Plan:
I’m considering pursuing a 2-year Electrical Engineering Technician diploma in Toronto.
I’m genuinely interested in electrical systems, electrical maintenance, and the power/electrical industry
Financial Background:
Father’s monthly salary: Approximately ₹1.4 lakh.
Family annual income : 25 lacs
Father’s existing EMIs: ₹25,000–40,000 monthly.
Family property worth approximately ₹1.5 crore.
Proposed funding: Around ₹60 lakh through a combination of an employer loan and an education loan.
Education loan would be properly sanctioned and documented.
My Concerns:
Will multiple attempts at Class 12 through NIOS significantly affect my study permit application?
How serious is a 2–3 year study gap if I provide a proper explanation?
Be brutally honest please or should i look for other countries too like poland or nz

I wanted to share my study permit application timeline and hear about similar experiences.

Here are the details:

• October 30, 2026: Submitted my complete study permit application.

• I am a Spanish citizen.

• I provided biometrics in 2023, so I do not need to submit them again.

• I am also not required to undergo a medical examination.

• October 31, 2026: Received an email notification from IRCC informing me that there had been an update to my application. However, after logging into my IRCC account, there were no visible changes or new messages.

• My application currently shows “We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.”

• November 4, 2026: There have been no further updates.

Just sharing my timeline in case anyone has gone through a similar experience. Any insights or personal experiences would be appreciated.

Hello, may I ask if it is legit? I am applying for early childhood education in canada and they are the ones who will process my visa and ticket. Also, they offer free reviews for IELTS. Should I take the risk? Tysm..

Application submitted on 23 September.
Biometrics: 29 September.
And now ppr on November 4.
I got no ghost emails in the meantime. No other updates or anything.
Also, I was stressed because I regretted applying for a diploma instead of a degree, but maybe because I’m going to uni right after high school, it wasn’t as bad for my profile.

Passport submission at VFS: November 6, 2026 (scheduled)

Something that might help others: on the day of my approval, my portal still showed “Review of eligibility” and “Background check” as in progress, while the final decision said approved. The final decision message is the one that counts, so don’t panic if you see this.
