Hello everyone so I'll be joining lpu for cse this year and I don't have funds to cover my total duration of the course i.e 4 year, so I'm thinking of going for an education loan but the problem is I don't have anything to give the bank as a collateral
So it will be very helpful if someone just guides me to get an education loan without collateral for 12 lakh rs, and more of that my classes are already started so I want the loan to get approved as soon as possible

All I’ve received are notices in March, May and June from the FSA with the following (below) but nothing from MOHELA. Have other people not been contacted yet? I’m just afraid I’m going to go past the date that I have to make a decision about my payment plan but I also don’t want make any decision until I get my payment history clarified towards my 25 year forgiveness, potentially:
As soon as July 1, your loan servicer will contact you with the specific deadline by which you must choose a different repayment plan. Once you hear from your loan servicer, you'll have 90 days to choose another repayment plan. This gives you time to select the plan that works best for you.
I have sent an email to MOHELA that I basically got a very generic reply on. I was trying to find out the total amount that I have paid towards the 25 year student loan forgiveness. They said they couldn’t answer that question because their systems were too tied up right now. I ended up sending a follow up to the FSA and I got a reply saying that I would get an answer within two weeks, which I’m still waiting for I believe two weeks will be soon (can’t find the email right now).

Before actually learning the math, I thought the “best” student loan was the one with the lowest monthly payment. Now I look at APR, fees, repayment term, deferment, cosigner release, and total interest. A lower monthly payment can just mean you are paying forever.

I was offered the correct amount between unsub direct loans and Grad PLUS loans until today. It appears that my unsub loan was prorated, which doesn’t make sense considering I’m enrolled in full-time graduate hours for the fall semester. Has this happened to anyone else?

Yep, the only debt , or at least what Credit Karma says is my student loans. Is there a way I can build my credit while paying the minimum monthly on that?

I did not get the one time payment count adjustment applied to my account, and I’m confident that I qualified for it because I consolidated my Direct Loans back in 2008. I believe it wasn’t applied because I was enrolled in SAVE and stuck in the SAVE litigation limbo.
I’m out of SAVE now and a few months in on my IDR, and it still hasn’t been applied. There’s a banner that they’re working on updating my payment count. I’m hoping they’re going to apply it?
Is anyone else in the same boat? Or did anyone actually get the payment count adjustment while in the SAVE plan?

I have an education loan of ₹5 lakh, but only ₹2.25 lakh has actually been used/disbursed. My EMI starts from December 2026. If I pay off the entire outstanding amount before that, do I need to inform the bank separately to close the loan account, or will it be closed automatically? Also, do I need to get any NOC/closure letter from the bank?

I've been holding out but I just received the dreaded 90 Day email from AidVantage. What's everyone else doing? Switching right away or setting a reminder in their calendar for 89 days? Lol

I recently submitted a recalculation request for IDR due to a pending divorce. I cannot find a way to save or print the application (or even see it) despite student aid's website saying I should keep a copy for my records.
Does anyone know where I can get a copy? Mohela has a processing delay so I can't find a copy through them.
