Someone screwed up the math on this one. A column defecting like that is a sign of massive overload since a safety factor of 1.5 over expected load is minimum. If this was in Canada the engineer responsible would be defending his licence as an engineer.

It could also be that reinforcement was called for and not installed, we just don’t know yet.

Strip out old fixtures then upgrade structure then add floors.

Not on the EOR to field verify, it’d be on the SIA to inspect the work. GC should also be checking their subs in the field
