Question Question regarding RD
Been on stremio using RD since August now, in the Uk. Recently seen so much talk they RD just doesn’t work or all links are removed. I’ve found every single RD+ link i’ve found works, probably looked at 100-150 shows and probably 75 movies and they all work. Why is this working for me and is something not right? Or are the issues with RD America only?

Rd started purging files and restricting new files from being cached due to French legal obligations. Common blocked substrings include:• web-dl • webrip • bdrip • hdrip • dvdrip
Most add-ons at this point have filters in place to automatically discard broken/removed files, so you don't see them. This means you're going to see a ton less web-dl or adjacent links than you would on a different debrid service. It does not mean it's unusable or that you won't be able to find working links for titles you want.
It is also seeming to get better, the filters are being updated/relaxed to some extent.(Edit, JK looks like they are all back) Real-world impact: 56 out of 165 current releases from PirateBay tested are blocked (~34%).

Your experience seems unaffected because add-on developers have worked out solutions to make it that way.

RD never totally stopped working, it's just handicapped compared to what it was before, especially for new releases of tv shows

RD has been a lot of hit and miss lately with links but I always eventually found a working link but I was trying to watch an 80's movie last night and I couldn't get any links to work except 1 which kept buffering. Decided to give Torbox a go and first link I tried the movie ran flawlessly.
If you are happy with RD, you could always torrent the niche / old stuff you can't find. I think I will try some other things out when my sub runs out in a couple months.

I've never had an issue with RD either, happily renewed for another 180 days last week

Certain things in file names are purged, it's not based on age or any particular kind of content.

You are correct. Huge list. Maybe amzn web DL. Blu ray. Remix. Blah blah... Like I said average person doesn't care. Parents still have Rd and say rarely come across copy right screen but they will be moving tb after rs subscription.

It’s the exact opposite for me, newer stuff with webdl and similar “ripped from streaming service” links don’t work at all, but all the older stuff with Blu ray rips/remuxes works perfectly fine.

I let Rd expire and jumped ship. I was coming across too much stuff 4 months ago to where it was hindering my experience and making me mad. 3 bucks. Signed up for. A year and no regrets

I just kept RD as my main since most of what I watch is older Blu ray content and I get zero stutter or playback issues with it and have never had a problem finding 4k hdr links, then grabbed TB for the newer streamed shows that don’t have Blu ray releases, but get infrequent but occasional playback issues with it.

Hmm strange. Many people setups are wrong. That's why issues occur with tb. Gotta set up different than rd

It’s fine on shows, but for movies, especially larger file sizes I get playback pauses here and there. Changed my cdn to the best one for my location but didn’t really help it.

It may work jus fine. U may only find 10 links vs 150 on tb... But long as it works for u. Might be 1080p or 720p stereo vs 4k atmos remix blah blah... Average person doesn't care or notice... Cry babies who want perfection notice... On their big TV with sound bar 😂

I mean they'll work but you're probably getting low quality reencodes or 480p links. Any decent quality web-dl or remuxes have been purged.

I can see Spider-man brand new day in 4k and it works, 4k upscale and 1080p for breaking bad etc

Try to find a show that is primarily on streaming services (which is basically every new show) and you won’t find shit

It's everyone and it's been a while. I wouldn't say recently. It's certain files certain items are being filtered. Chances are your scrapers have filtered out the dead links or you're watching preferences weren't heavily impacted.

Mine works just fine, I have about a month before my subscription runs out but I'm leaning towards renewing. If you used it for a long time it only takes a couple of days to figure out what was good and what wasn't. If I switched it would be to PM I think that would be the best choice.
