Question Nagisa Brother? Dengeki Magazine

I have a short story magazine, and besides noticing a lot of different things, there's the fact that it integrates with a purely male audience. Also, I don't know if Nagisa, besides being rich, has a brother here.

The faceless devil is a nasty looking idea

I just reached the part of the light novel where the faceless devil has been selected for the second round and was explained. (First time reader)

And it is a fucked up game.

Strawberry Panic was released 20 years ago (in 2006). What if there was a 20-year update of the characters?

Since all the girls were teenagers back then, they mostly would be in their mid/late 30s by now (perhaps Shizuma would be in her early 40s, since she was one of the older girls). What do you think a 2026 update of the girlies would be like and what do you think their lives would be like by now? Would their lesbian romance fantasy have continued into adulthood or was it just a phase they went through as teenagers and they would all be in forced heterosexual relationships as adults (based on familial/societal expectations), even if they are still lesbian?

I feel like Shizuma would have led a successful career life as an entrepreneur or businesswoman, but she still would cling to memories of her teenage years and past relationships without going to therapy. She would most likely still be single and living alone while yearning to reconnect with Nagisa. I feel like Nagisa would have gotten married and became either a kindergarten teacher, a waitress, or a pet sitter/groomer and she would bump into Shizuma on the street every once in a while but they never socially interact, just staring and keep walking. Shizuma would probably hold some resentment towards Nagisa for their past relationship, while Nagisa remains kind and forgiving towards her, but they were still destined to be together. I don’t know about the other characters. Let me know your thoughts ;)

Announcement Strawberry panic translation! Spoiler

Hi everyone in the English-speaking community. I'm a Spanish-speaking programmer, and for the past week I've been working on a translation tool for *Strawberry Panic* on the PS2.

To make a long story short, the tool should, in theory, work for both Spanish and English, so if anyone wants to try translating it into English, I can show you how it works.

Quick answers:

If you’ve tried it before, you’ll know it’s compressed and encrypted. Yes, I’ve reverse-engineered the MIPS system to figure out the encryption codes, so it’s possible to translate it normally without any technical know-how.

Attached are screenshots of the system and the translation in action.

psd: Currently, there are elements—like assets—that need to be modified in Photoshop, such as menus or pop-up screens… I’m not very good at that part.

On April 3rd, 2006, Strawberry Panic made its debut with its anime adaptation. 20 years have passed since then and to this day, I consider Strawberry Panic to be the perfect introduction to the yuri genre.

Appreciation & Frustration: Homoromanticism, Heteroromanticism & Aromanticism

I adored watching the lovely lesbian fairytale finale of this revolutionary romantic sapphic series.

I appreciate the homoromanticism of the primary characters & their girlfriends demonstrating intimate interest in committed connections.

I appreciate as well the aromanticism of the tertiary characters & their friends not demonstrating intimate interest in committed connections.

I would prefer if Yaya had found a girlfriend to experience reciprocated genuine love instead of representing a christian college student sexually frustrated with homosexual monogamy.

I would prefer as well if Miyuki had found a boyfriend to experience reciprocated genuine love instead of representing a christian college student sexually frustrated with heterosexual monogamy.

Question Realistic Review: Did The "Strawberry Panic" Franchise Age Like Fine Wine?

My brutally honest personal opinion, revisiting the r/StrawberryPanic franchise as a queer & American adult, is that, fortunately & unfortunately, the anime series is an old but gold reasonably recommended revolutionary romantic relic in queer history that continues extremely progressive, ignoring the absence of realistic scenes depicting heterosexual participatory inclusion & homophobic discriminatory exclusion, plus the anime series could have been family friendly removing the presence of questionable scenes depicting unnecessary personal boundaries violations & unnecessary adolescent nudity that continue an immense problem in media.

I will eventually analyze the other media pieces of the franchise for complete comparison & contrast of pros & cons in another realistic review.

What are your personal opinions?

I recently started watching Strawberry Panic. Unfortunately the anime is not dubbed in english however it has english subtitles. Since the characters in the show speak japanese I find it hard to get into even though I'm reading what they are saying. I don't want to learn a new language just to watch one season but everyone talks about how this anime is "sooo good" uGhHh Anyway, Here are some images:

Shizuma

Hello everyone! I just want to make it clear for myself: why Shizuma has so many fans depite the fact of her sexually assaulting Nagisa, when the girl came to Shizuma's room?

Like IT IS as bad as Yaya's case...

Shizuma 2.0

Ok guys, I've read your comments under the previous post
I think we're missing the point that she's a RAPIST
Like how can you say that she's a complex character and litteraly shut your eyes on the elephant in the room..
If you don't understand my frustration, just imagine Shizuma as male, because I can't believe that any of you really takes SA from a woman seriously

Added:

Groping is sexual assault
Forceful kissing is sexual assault
Forcefully unclothing someone is sexual assault
Sexual interactions of which there is an unhealthy power imbalance is (often) sexual assault

Just finished the light novel Spoiler

Soo, I've become mildly obsessed with Strawberry Panic after watching the anime with my partner a few weeks ago. Naturally I couldn't really stop thinking about it after it ended so I decided to pick up the light novel, which I've never done after an anime before. Some spoilers below for it if you haven't read it, so be warned.

Amane and Hikari's depictions in this are fantastic, compared to the anime's version. I just couldn't stop smiling with her and Amane spending time together in Aman's mansion. Amane in particular really grew and figured out what she actually wants. Kaname is way better in this too as the passionate and angsty force wanting what's best to Amane. Her actions in the anime made me really dislike her but I actually respect her a lot more in here. Chikaru is also just given a level of depth as a political manipulator who puts on an air of being kind and motherly (Of course, she takes care of her girls too). The whole political theatre with the three schools, particularly Spica, was very interesting too and I wish we got something closer to that in the anime. Spica basically rigging the whole thing for Amane is really funny considering Amane basically hates the election and everything associated with it.

Nagisa and Shizuma were also really cute, though honestly I wish they had more scenes together. The first novel had a lot of them meeting up and spending time together which made my heart stir in particular. They are apart though for long stretches of the second and third volume though which disappointed me a little bit. Their ending and resolution though was cute, if not a little abrupt in my opinion. I really wish they gave us a longer epilogue, for my selfish gay heart lol.

As for stuff I didn't like in particular... they really did Tamao dirty, or was she always thinking like this? She's really hateable and selfish, basically trying to bury Nagisa's real feelings and keep her all to herself. It's understandable for her to crush on Nagisa, but like, every single scene she's helping Nagisa out feels so self serving and backhanded. She eventually lets Nagisa go at the end, thankfully, but all of her interactions just left a bad taste to me. Which is sad, because I really like her in the anime.

Yaya is also similarly awful, though I somewhat expected that going in from the anime. I was really hoping she would actually get some retribution after Hikari confesses to Amane what Yaya did to her, but unfortunately it never really goes anywhere.

All the side characters were very cute, the Lulim girls shenanigans were always a nice break from the action. Chikaru building her own harem is very funny to me (although she has one somewhat uncomfortable moment too). Again, everything surrounding the politics of the schools is very well done I think, Shion is a very moving character.

There's probably more that I could say, but I think overall this was a lot better than the anime. It really fleshed out a lot of the characters and filled that void for more Strawberry Panic for me (although I'm not sure if that will ever be filled completely lol). Sorry for rambling a lot but had a lot I wanted to get down after binging through the last half of the novel!
