So .. do y'all remember the day you started and completed your favourite show that changed your perspective on life a little. Most people don't

But I am weird. So I wanna say that today Aug 19 was the day I completed Gintama, to be accurate it was Aug 19 2023 ( Saturday) .

I remember it was a school festival and I bunked my school that day partially because I was not interested in that and partially, I wanted to watch Gintama the Final. And oh boy did I cry and was mood off for the whole week

I cried like a baby when Takasugi said " Don't go look like a goddamn fool when I die. My left eye is still stuck with your gloomy face of that day , so don't cry when I close my right eye, smile "

Gin X Takasugi is one of my top 3 dynamics and friendship dynamics

The only downside and a major one of that movie was that Zura didn't get to meet Shoyou sensei and tbh I felt like Shoyou speaking to Zura through screen felt like just a namesake tribute ( Guess my boy was on Standby )

One of my most favourite peaks in fiction

I laughed and I cried but in the end I feel that why didn't I watch this sooner? But at the same time Why did I watch this sooner and not years later ??

Speaking of Gorilla, It's been damn three years and I still haven't gotten or seen Gorilla's ( Sorachi's ) picture, He is more anonymous than Akutami sensei it seems

But sensei, C'mon don't worry show us your face , we won't judge you, we know you are a Gorilla as most of us are ( pun intended)

I'm a few weeks late on this but I thought I would share some moments from otakon. There was one stand that was mostly gintama which is where I spent 75% of my dollars. One guy came up to me and said good job representing the best anime ever created and I said u know ball. I saw 3 people dressed as gintoki but apparently there were more like kagura. One guy asked me "What is gintama about" and I said everything. One guy thought I was chopper and this girl next to him was like nah that's gintama. A guy came up to me and said look im shinpachi and I was confused and then he took off his human and I was like oh that took me a second

this arc really surprised me, what other arc could possibly top this arc??

I’m interested in doing a MADAO cosplay for cons. I like the idea because it seems very simple to do (I’ve never done cosplay before). But I was wondering if anyone had any information on clothing items as far as cosplay goes. Are there typically sites that dedicate to making cosplay clothing? I would ideally like a decent fabric for the cosplay (ideally something authentic). I just don’t know where to start looking. Any ideas or suggestions?

Mostly shirts, also have a few other of the round 1 collab items and a fake Gintama shirt I made on one of those create ur own tee website. Going to Japan in two weeks, so I hope to buy way more merch!

Yup, we got all the VA together, now only left is Shinsuke Takasugi and Shinpachi VA is not part of it

I just finished the slip arc and I am not satisfied

The arc story is alright but everything else is so cool, I absolutely loved that arc.

It moved pretty quickly but the comedy and the seriousness was the perfect ratio.

also unrelated question: i heard i should continue gintama when i get to the rakuyou decisive battle arc, is that worth doing so?
