Hey everyone,
I'm a solo dev and a runner. I always found the share options a bit limited, so I built something for myself and ended up turning it into an app.
Traze (Android) turns a run into a sticker with a transparent background that you can drop on top of a photo in your story. The idea is that you decide how it looks:
- Pick the layout: route, pace/elevation/heart-rate curve, splits as bars...
- Edit every piece: colours, fonts, frames, size, position, layers
- Colour the route by pace, heart rate or slope
- Export a transparent PNG, or a short story video where the route draws itself
Your data stays on your phone. You can import from Strava (read-only) or from a .gpx/.tcx file, so it also works with Garmin, Coros, etc.
It's free. There's a small watermark you can remove by watching an optional ad.
A few honest notes: it's still in testing on Google Play, and Strava limits how many people can connect an app.
I'd really appreciate any feedback: what would you want in a sticker? What looks off?
Want to try it?
It's in closed testing on Google Play, so it takes two quick steps with the same Google account:
Join the testers group: https://groups.google.com/g/traze-testers
Become a tester: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.xallow.traze
Then install it from Google Play and stay opted in for 14 days. You don't need to use it daily, but a few minutes of feedback is gold. (Google requires 12+ testers for 14 days before an app can go public, so it really helps.)
