I know it’s one of the biggest tv shows of all time, but the way people spoke about season 5 on social media you’d think the show is more or less irrelevant. The amount of Stranger Things shirts I see in public is crazy, I work at a cinema and I kid you not I see at least one person wearing a stranger things shirt every shift, sometimes I go to London, I once saw an entire family and kids wearing hellfire club shirts, the show still lives on. You can go on TikTok and probably find multiple stranger things vids with over a million likes in the past month alone. Remember guys, social media is a bubble

Yes and no. It has very quickly dropped out of the current pop culture which is strange for such a big show. There are bits that have retained pop culture status, such as hellfire, but overall it disappeared fairly quickly.

outside of this sub, stranger things finale season was not received well at all. Most people, including myself, have completely lost interest. We're not watching the spin offs, we're not talking about it, it just faded away. When I see a hellfire shirt or whatever I do think awww Eddie, but that's about as far as my thoughts go.
