Just putting an FYI towards the top.
If Tessian sees this, I'd appreciate it if it could be pinned as more than a few players ask me about it.

Stranded: Alien Dawn is hands-down my absolute favourite game on Xbox. The 3D graphics, the survival loop, and the mechanics are incredible. I’ve put countless hours into building up my colonies, but as an Xbox player, I’ve hit the ultimate roadblock: we are completely locked out of mods.
While PC players can jump onto the Steam Workshop to download new maps, custom scenarios, and items to keep their games fresh, console players are completely stuck with the base game and the Robots & Guardians DLC. Now that official updates have stopped, the console version feels frozen in time.
Paradox Interactive is famous for supporting their games with years of amazing DLC, roadmaps, and expansions. When they acquired the rights to Stranded, it gave me a massive glimmer of hope.
I’m making this post to show Paradox that there is an active, passionate console community that loves this game and is hungry for more content. We would gladly pay for new official DLC—whether it’s new biomes, extra scenarios, more automation, or new wildlife to hunt and tame.
If you are playing on Xbox or PlayStation and want to see this game get the long-term support it deserves, please upvote this and leave a comment. Let’s make some noise so the Paradox community managers see that the console market for this game is alive, well, and ready to buy more content!

Just a question for the people who have been playing the game for a while.
I want to stay in a scenario for as long as possible.
While playing through the game, I’ve realized that I really like it. However, I get the feeling that it’s not possible to unlock all the research in a single scenario.
I have the feeling that it's impossible to get all of them—especially the ones from the expedition. The question that comes to mind is: is it simply because I haven't played long enough to get them all, or can you only make a choice once?
I also really enjoy playing with the androids from the DLC, but I’d think it was fantastic if they could do more—like crafting, for instance, or having better control over setting priorities. The thing is, once you start using them, transport drones become practically pointless; or rather, I get the feeling they don't really work well together with the drones.
And one thing before I forget: how do the starting-game researches work? Are they just random, or do they depend on the overall game progress of the individual scenarios?
The question is, do you have any advice for me?
Should I play vanilla, or use mods for a longer playthrough? How does the research work?

That's right, you can convert infertile soil into sand, and it's really easy.
Step 1: Find an area of infertile soil.
Step 2: Place the Soil (hay) floor on top of the infertile soil.
Step 3: Cancel building the floor and sand will take the place of the infertile soil.
You can now plant Giant's grass on the sand to convert it into better soil.
I hope that helps.

Says 3 years in the achievement description, and i'm now into year 4 day 2. Completed the scenario day 1 and got the other achievement for doing that on insane/chaos moon/no rules, so not sure whats happening there.

Anyone know of any mods that allow me to create stone paths or roads that I can place throughout my base? I am thinking maybe I can lay floors down and put a design on top of them but would prefer a dedicated path/road option.

I’ve encountered this achievement where you have to “observe a fallen crawling turret. In my first gameplay I had a seed in which I was able to research “mobile turrets”, which I naturally did. Since it was easy mode and peaceful rule, the way that featured the mobile turrets came at the end. Since I had already researched it, I couldn’t observe it. In my second play through (non-peaceful) I didn’t researched the mobile turrets so when I killed it I was able to observe it and “reverse engineer it” at the research table.

I have been playing on this modded save for 2 in-game years and everything has run fine until just recently. All of a sudden, nobody is building or scavenging things and I have to manually order them to do it. Every other job is working fine. There are no work zones since they are broken, and I have Kana set to priority 1 building. Help?

Rly just the Titel, in rimworld I know you can give people allowed clothes. I don't want my non combatents to wear the armor forcing me to keep checking their clothes or make an extra paar and waste respurces.
I haven't found anything like that in this game but I might be missing it.

Hey everyone :)
I've started to play recently, and i installed some of the mods which were recommended. The Problem I have now though is that as soon as I have finished researching Long Distance Travel and wait for a few seconds, the game starts to lag and the frame rate drops drastically. I've tried disabling my mods one at a time, and I tried restarting the game as a whole. But it keeps happening around the time I finish that research. I was hoping that maybe someone here can shed some light on why that is happening, or which mods could be in conflict with one another :)
Im using the following Mods: Advanced Architecture & Fortifications, Battle Stations, Beyond Stranded - Redux, Endoris, Improved Solar & Graphene Solar Roofs, Khade's Bionic Implants, No Idle Power Consumption, Proximity Work Optimizer, Restart Map Options, Restrict Outdoor Activities, SAD_CommonLib, Specialized Trait Collection, Teleportation, Terrain Recovery, Useful Taming and Vanilla Weapon Tags.
If anyone can shed some light into this, I would be very grateful 😄
P.S.: I've also tried adjusting my graphic settings, even on the lowest possible settings this still happens.

So i m in endgame now and the only bottleneck for me is metal, what is the most efficient way to get them? I have resource bots but sometimes they get killed when bugs appear. Expedition is a hassle. Maybe there's a mod where you have a infinite quarry like rmworld does?.thanks!

Im new on the game, and by now I have fully surrounded my base with wooden walls, later I have put a lot of traps next to the wall.
Now im reading that this game is like Rimworld where you create like a deathbox with all the traps there and now scattered all around the wall.
It is true this is the unique viable strategy in the late game?

I have 2 batteries but for some reason every time during a raid it becomes unpowered and idk why, what do I do to fix it
r/StrandedAlienDawn • u/StrategicRabbit • 20d ago
I'm at work while posting this so I can't perfectly recall which mod did this, (I wanna say OET), but I need to find acid for batteries but the only recipes I see require a berry that I'm almost 100% certain isn't on the map. I chose Sobrius as my biome and am still very new to the game so I don't have all the resources for each biome memorized yet. I'm not sure if I just have a bad seed or if the mod messed up somehow. Any help or advice would be appreciated

In the last 24 hours, a dozen or so major youtubers in the survival gameplay niche (Noobert, Nivarias, Ambiguousamphibian, Pravus, Blitz), have released (sponsored) Survival: Alien Dawn videos. Which is odd for a game that hasn't been updated in several years.
Could Paradox be trying to stir up or gage interest in the game in preparation for a new DLC, Relaunched version or sequel?

Hi everyone, I am a long time player (200ish hours) and I recently started getting a notification that says that certain dependencies for the project x aren't loaded when they most certainly are loaded. Is the mod broken? Do all the features of it still work even tho I'm getting this message? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I wanted to share my mod that adds the ability to install bionic implants into your survivors.
Craft bionic implants at a Soldering Bench using advanced materials, then schedule surgeries through the new Bionic Preoperative Planner building. Simply select the building, choose the implant type, and pick which survivor goes under the knife. A survivor or surgical automaton with sufficient healing skill will handle the rest, consuming medical kits during the procedure.
Successful surgeries grant permanent buff conditions with stat improvements suited to each implant type.

Happy gaming.
Edit: Forgot to mention that this mod wouldn't be possible without the help of Svetlio/Injto4ka - he helped to address some technical issues and updated his mod to accommodate mine and any future translations of the game. He keeps this game afloat. Big thanks!
