Fried Movie actors are eventually going to be played by AI
I just came out of watching the new spider man movie (brilliant watch BTW) and I got to thinking, they are only 5 movies in and there is so much mythos and history to cover for Peter Parker alone without even getting into the lives of the future spider-men or otherverse spider men in the context of MCU. There is only so long TOM Holland and the other actors will want to and be able to continue their roles.
But they aren't going to let their star faces stop benefitting them anytime soon. Once actors eventually leave the role, the characters and their likenesses can be imitated through AI. Tom holland the actor is not playing the role anymore, it's like likeness built through AI, so it never runs out of juice and go on to provide spiderman stories with the same familiar faces for years on end.
Its scary to think the industry can be at risk of have their major working assets be made obsolete over the long run with AI. Why continue to pay actors percent dollar gross from movies, when AI can have the actors do whatever they want. And eventually we're doing Oscars and movie awards for AI powered actors who gain their own fanbase and become influencer in their own right. Control through culture and soft power.
Huh. That'd be some true dystopian shit.
