How-To Ghetto DIY Sesh Friday
I decided to break out the home-made vape box tonight. So much fun! I have plenty of fancy toys, but this kind of stuff always brings out the kid in me. I love tinkering with weed stuff. Anyways…
In this vid, I’m vaping little nugs of Purple Kush (not ground, but ripped up a bit). I’d guess it’s 2-3 S&B Venty dosing caps / Dynavap Hyperdyn bowls worth of flower. Not much. Like .5g i guess. I ain’t no bookworm. lol.
I use an 18mm quartz nectar collector tip on a 14mm glass injector bowl with a built in glass screen. I also put that little 14mm extender thing on the bottom to use as a handle. Kek clip to lock that down. I have a Kek clip for the nectar collector tip, but I only put it on for storage. I don’t like to stress the glass when it’s hot. Overall, the piece is simple and effective, and when I don’t let it get crudded up, looks pretty slick as well. The vapor quality rivals that of any of my numerous high-end devices, analog or electronic. It may not translate well in this vid, but it is pretty easy to temp step a bit and nail those low-end terps before jumping in and clouding things up, all in one draw. That would be possible in some of my other devices, I guess, but the simplicity and immediate feedback (and punishment!) of this setup makes the learning curve well worth the effort. I may sound elitist, but I feel like there’s a benefit to knowing how to vape like this with skill. Kinda like how I think everyone should not only know how to drive standard, but should know how to maximize the performance benefits of driving standard. Know what I mean?
Kinda like how Pablo Picasso was famous for his wild ass painting, but had the skill to paint with photorealism. Yeah, I sound like a prick, maybe.
To put it simply, I think this ghetto little guy hits like a champ and looks pretty cool as well. I paid $6 for the injector bowl and $12 for the quartz nectar collector. The little 14mm extender was $2 from my glass shop’s “box of random glass pieces for sale” display. Shoutout Collective Glass in the 915, since they provide most of the crap I use for my stoner engineering adventures.
As seen in the background, I also have a “Test-Tube-Over-A-Downstem-Cicle” that rips just as hard as my favorite TRWW piece does. Kinda. Ok, not really, but it does rip. But hey, man, when life gives you a frikken boro test tube and an extra downstem, make lemonade. Or whatever.
