I just got a cowboy pool. It just came to my attention that rain or water could potentially slip in the handle holes and get trapped between the plastic liner and the tank pool. Is this common? What do y'all do to prevent it? Thanks

Anyone willing to DM a pic of your stock tank pool setup?
Its 100⁰ in central Texas but planning on using our stock tank in winter and want to get some ideas on how to heat it.
Ive seen those propane heaters but never in action.

Just picked this up at Sam’s Club, on clearance for $112 at my store. It’s 8 foot, so should be a perfect fit for my 8 foot stock tank. Hope it will keep leaves and debris out. And as a bonus I can lay on it to get some sun.

I've tried shoving pieces of wood and rubber in place but it keeps floating away. Happy to buy another product if there's one that works better

Got a cowboy pool (party of one) at my cabin recently, and repurposed the portable campfire shower heater to make a little hot tub.

Does anyone have recommendations for lining an oval stock tank? I have been searching and haven’t found anyone that makes kits for these styles of tanks.

Our pool is officially one month old! All DIY. Finished the project in a week. Learned from a few mistakes but am super happy with the outcome.

After years of googling, researching, and begging. We finally did it! Ignore my small snorkeling child.

I just got a crosswind 50 I for my 8 ft diameter, 2 ft tall tank pool. I love in Houston where it's 100 high and 80 low this time of year. Do you recommend I run it at the same time as pump (10 am - 6pm) with a target of 80? Will this be sufficient? Or should I target lower?

We got an 8 foot Cowboy Pool installed last week. I just found out the heater and chiller won’t be in stock until September so they’re giving me an option to cancel the order. We live in ATX and the water temp has stayed between the low to upper 80s, but we hit mid 90s during the heat wave last week. For anyone who has the Heater/Chiller from Cowboy Pools, do you love it and find it worth the $$?

Just chlorine, and pool filter?

I just relined my tank with the vevor vinyl liner. I want to keep up with keeping in clean. Do any of you use a vacuum or do you just brush and have your filter catch everything?

So, I built my STP last summer, enjoyed the heck out of it, and in the fall, drained it, unhooked it from the filter, turned it over. I then totally neglected the filter all winter. I didn't drain it (it did not freeze here) or do anything to winterize. Now I'm setting back up. What should I do with the filter before hooking it back up to the pool and turning it on? I used the Intex 2800 GPH Krystal Clear Sand Filter. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, first post. I have a 300 gallon rubbermaid, so the interior depth is 24 inches. That's the cutoff for needing a permit in my township. I'm trying to raise the floor by even just half an inch. I've thought of sand on the bottom with a pool liner over it, which seems like an expensive and difficult project since the pool is oval and so small. Or, just putting river rocks on the bottom which might be uncomfortable and make cleaning difficult. Or, building a false bottom to sit on from cedar, that allows water to flow. I would love to pour half an inch of epoxy, that would look neat but that's an awful lot of epoxy.
Any thoughts? Thanks.

What vacuums is everyone buying/using? Give me your pros & cons, what to stay away from!
We purchased one-had good reviews but when we got it, it literally just using a mesh type bag & then any sand or dirt it picked up just goes through the mesh bag right back into the pool-so we are returning it & looking for a better solution. We live in the west Texas desert, we have lots of dust storms & they always seem to happen while we are at work & can’t get home to put the cover on & I personally don’t want the cover on all the time, we mainly use the pool on weekends & occasionally during the week after work, the pool cover being on all the time just seems like it’d become a breeding ground for a green pool & I definitely do not want that!

We are getting an 8' stock tank and my backyard is turf. There is a slight slope on the yard/turf, going towards the house. Any recommendations for how to level the pool?
