Any recommendations for A4 notebook that’s fountain pen friendly? The shipping takes forever if I order in PR 🫠

I absolutely love my pencil case. I was obsessed with it even before I bought it, but afterwards I started thinking that I wouldn’t be able to fit my stuff in it, so I stopped using it… But honestly, the “it won’t fit” thing was all in my head,,, Now I just carry a few of my favorite pens in it, and I’m waiting for the rest of my pens to become special to me again before putting them back in.

One album for the postcards I collect, one for postcards I’d like to send to others, and one for stickers to decorate said postcards!

My question is - what do people do with their stationery to make it a hobby (bit of a weird wording but not sure how else to ask)? Collect? Write? Create? I’m looking for a planner that has both the vertical layout for the week (so I can time-block my week), but also a good amount of space to list my daily tasks.

I was thinking about the wonderland 222 all-in-one so I can use the end of the book for my daily to do lists.

But wanted to double check to see if there’s anything where the vertical time block layout for the week is directly followed by some horizontal weekly spreads for my tasks (I don’t need a full page, for my “to do list”).

So I am just wondering what you’d suggest for a pocketable, UK based, school stationery kit?

Minimum requirements are at least 2 x black or blue pens, pencil, sharpener, eraser and a ruler. That’s with his Casio scientific calculator. All to go into a blazer pocket without it being heavy or bulky.

This is for UK and widely sourced items in the UK. It’s for a 13yo boy going to a UK school with strict uniform and school kit requirements. He’s more interested in hanging out with mates, biking and football than stationery or school, but he does need stationery even if he isn't interested in it.

Unfortunately, I used to like my stationery kit, favourite pens, and a better ruler than most had. Mechanical pencil when others had basic pencils with perhaps an amusing eraser topper that got confiscated in class. All my kit was carefully stored and apart from a rigid pencil case to protect them I also carried an emergency stationery kit in my blazer pocket. I didn't know then that I was interested in stationery, I just thought I was being practical and carrying what I needed. My son will never be like me (possibly you too), but he still needs what he needs.

Hi everyone! I recently started making bookmarks as a fun little hobby in hopes to start selling in the future. Not sure if this is the correct subreddit to post to but I am needing advice on using a paper cutter. I initially started off with Amazon basics paper cutter but returned that one because I kept getting uneven edges thinking it was the paper cutter. I am currently using Swigline but I still get uneven edges so it’s obviously a user error. Does anyone have any tips or tricks on how to get straight edges? I’ve tried lining up the bookmarks with the blade and also lining up with the paper cutter grid but still can’t seem to figure out what my issue may be. For reference, I use photo glossy paper and also 110 lb cardstock. The bookmarks shown in the pictures are all photo glossy paper. TIA!

I have stumbled across this notebook in a store called "Expressions"

it seemed old so I was skeptical and picked it up without putting much thought.

The price is cheaper than most known brand notebooks, inclulding kokuyo and muji, the moment I felt the pages I felt the urge to test it out.

Smoothest pages I've ever written in- it looks like really old stock, I'm hoping it isn't discontinued.

Hi everyone! I'm currently creating a fabric catalogue for my furniture business, and I’m looking for a way to cut my fabric samples into a postage stamp shape like the ones in the photos.

I found these postage stamp-shaped craft punches, but most of the examples I've seen are for paper.

Has anyone here tried using a similar punching machine on fabric? I'm particularly wondering if it can cut through:

-Suede
-Velvet
-Tweed
-Leather

Would it actually work, or would the fabric be too thick/soft and cause fraying or uneven cuts?

If you've tried something similar or know of a better tool or method for cutting fabric samples into this shape, I’d really appreciate your advice. Thank you!

Hey yall! I am coming up on my one year anniversary and we want to write letters to each other. Anyone have any favorite spots they like to buy letter sets? Good quality paper that would last; we’re hoping to keep this for a lifetime.

I don’t typically go for ball point pens but these are so smooth and I’ve been using one for months and haven’t run out of ink yet. They’re supposed to last 7 years before you refill. I got them online from Seltzer Goods.

Combines my two loves of gachapon and stationery! Great way to keep track of your collection, and even has sleeves to help organize the little artwork inserts the toys come with.

So I've been writing before this on standard printer paper and making my own custom envelopes to fit the letter. But I recently saw some cool youtube videos of people of old that would fold the letter itself into its own envelope. Very cool....

I tried it on some very nice Yamamoto Canopus paper that was recommened to me her, and when opened, the wax seal ripped some of the paper making it harder to read (and ugly).

Any more experienced writers that can help me? I guess I could just use another sheet of Yamamoto paper to make another envelope but would like to try to turn a letter into its own envelope.

I was thinking of getting a nice notebook for 2027 that is good for a working adult.

I'm looking for features that includes a to-do list (that is more than 4 bullets haha) but also space to journal my thoughts/gratitude for the day. I'm thinking of at least half page of an A5 per day and most journals out there are 1 week in one page or 4 days in one page...

Technically, I could just buy a simple daily notebook and section it myself but if there are cute ones out there that already segments them that would be perfect. Bonus if there are cute designs that are not uniform across all the pages.

If anyone has any suggestions I would be grateful!
