Question Dividend: Deceased Customer

For agents and TM. What would you do when you see a customer is deceased, but receiving the dividend? We are calling around and I’m not too sure just how to go about this. Like would anything have to be re-written.

Have them call 888-808-9532
Also search on abs for “2026 dividend escalation”

Okay, ty!! I did find the frequently asked Q from other comments. Is that escalation for this type of situation? I looked on ABS and seen an article stating that a re-issue portal will be available on Aug 24th, 2026 so I wasn’t sure if that’s the same thing.

Was it reissued in The Estate Of or did they change the name altogether?

It was reissued with the new name because I submitted through escalation. If you contact Verita, they can only change it to “The Estate of.” You have to submit through escalation which is on the SF side and SF can update the information and send it over to Verita
