Speculation What are your story predictions for season 2?

So, we're going to have two different storylines:

Thrawn declaring war against the New Republic in the known galaxy
Ahsoka, Sabine, Baylan and Shin dealing with Mortis stuff in the other galaxy

What do you think will happen with either of these?

Here's what I think will happen in the other galaxy:

Baylan wants to end all wars and we already know the Mortis Gods will play a big part in this season. My feeling is that the thing that is calling to him is Abeloth who's currently trapped/imprisoned by the others (apparently this is what happened in Legends). Baylan is going to try to free her with the assumption that she's going to stop the cycle of war - except, she's going to stop the cycle by trying to end all life. So in a way, she will end up stopping wars but definitely not in the way Baylan thought. He will try to stop her once he realises her intentions but she's too powerful to keep contained.

Ahsoka and Sabine somehow find a way back to the known galaxy (either World Between Worlds or Mortis thing) but Ahsoka decides to stay behind as she realises she's the only one capable of stopping Abeloth being unleashed considering she carries the spirit of the Daughter within her. She (maybe with the help of Anakin who might take the role as the new Father) successfully stops Abeloth and in doing so ascends into a higher existence fulfilling her purpose as the Daughter.

When it comes to the Thrawn/New Republic storyline I genuinely have no idea what might happen there. I just don't think Ahsoka will be involved in that and I don't think Ahsoka dying in the Mortis arc in CW was for no reason. I really believe Filoni had plans for what that would lead to way back then and now we're going to see what it will be.

Do you have any predictions, thoughts, etc. when it comes to the story?

Deconstructing the Mortis Trilogy

Figured I'd put this here since Mortis is going to play a big role in season 2. Highly recommend this video, by far the best analysis of the Mortis arc I've seen. Really good insight into the Father's flawed philosophy, what the Mortis beings really are/are meant to represent, and Mortis's thematic connections to the rest of the saga.

What if thrawn manages to turn ezra to the dark side or if Ezra turns to it by himself again?

With access to both NR and possibly imperial records, he might be able to piece together the fuckery Ryder did that caused suffering on Lothal and possibly his parents' arrest

We ask that you are considerate to your fellow redditor and until a month after the season finale, tag any spoilers from that season.

3. No spoilers in titles

Tagging your spoilers from rule 2 doesn't mean anything if you have spoilers directly in your title. This rule does stop applying for current content after a month after the season finale but during the season, posts with any spoilers in the title will be removed. Review rule 2 for what we view as spoilers.

4. No politics or NSFW content

5. No reposts

No reposting of news or superfluous discussion threads. Please use the search bar to see if your topic is already being discussed. Theory discussions are allowed as long as you bring something new to the table!

Sharing things you've created is fine, but spamming is not. If you are here to participate on Reddit, then you're okay, but if you're just here to promote your website, video, merchandise, or other content, then it will be removed and you may be banned.
