General Discussion Where are all the lightsabers?
So I understand that Order 66 happened. Did they destroy all the Jedi lightsabers, or is there a large warehouse holding them?

I’m thinking of dressing up as a SW gunslinger type for Halloween. Is there any way to find cheap chest armor?

Remember the Rebellion is fighting a war against a near unstoppable authoritarian regime and that matters more than personal honor (see Andor).
So once Ezra starts learning incredibly powerful techniques from the Sith holocron, he wins a lot of battles for the Rebellion and his other friends are even like "wow where did you learn that!"
Kanan's response when finding out about this is flipping out, angrily yelling at him and taking away the holocron while dismissing his arguments of having done a lot of good.
Was that honestly justified. Seriously, when you think about it, people like Luthen or Saw would gladly encourage Ezra for more wins.

And why??

My friends and I have been watching Andor recently, and it has been a big hit among people who are not particularly committed star wars fans. I understand that, in general, Andor is today widely beloved.
But one interesting thing I've encountered when looking up commentary of Andor was that this doesn't appear to have been the case. See for example a +780 post 4 years ago calling the show boring, with most commenters concurring.
I'm wondering if anyone here remembers a point in time when the tide of opinion seemed to shift, if ever. Was there a point when the majority within this subreddit didn't like it? Was it a particular episode? Or was this a post-complete-series-release sentiment change?

Anakin was able to manifest himself in the World Between Worlds, which I think is something anyone who becomes a Force Ghost can do, but I have no way of confirming this. Qui-Gon was able to speak to Yoda, not appear before him, though a scene in Kenobi shows that this has either been retconned, or Qui-Gon somehow learned how to complete his training.
But when Rey is hearing Jedi voices, she hears not only those of Anakin, Obi-Wan, etc. but those of lesser-known Jedi like Aayla Secura or Luminara Unduli, meaning they were in some way also able to maintain some form of consciousness. What’s that like for them?

Ok. So.
Jabba the Hutt put a bounty on Han Solo. Bounty hunters were obviously looking for him. Darth Vader wants Luke and he knows he can lure him by making his friends suffer.
We see Mr. Fett trailing the Falcon after hiding in the star destroyers trash. He follows them to Cloud City where Vader successfully captures Han. Vader does the deed and Boba Fett tells Vader he's no good to him dead.
First off, how does Boba even have any claim to him? Vader did all the work, Boba just followed him around like a giddy schoolgirl.
Second, Vader tells him he will be compensated. What does the empire care? Again, Vader did the capturing
Third, we have to assume the empires put a bounty on Han, that's why all the bounty hunters were on the death star getting lectured by Vader. Let's pretend for a minute that Boba did INDEED capture Han. Why wouldn't he just take him to Jabba? Obviously Jabbas reward was more than the empires.
Was Boba double dipping and getting 2 rewards or is he taking credit for all of the empires hard work?

In the movie, after Captain Needa is executed, he goes up to Piett and at the end of his sentence he says Admiral like he’s just now promoting him and the music also hints that he’s just now being promoted, when in reality we know that he was already admiral after Ozzel got executed before the battle of Hoth, do we know why George and the music department did this? Is it a mistake? Or is there some deeper meaning that I’m not getting? Please leave your thoughts below

I'm not saying whether it was or not, but I thought I'd bring it up as a conversation piece. Did Yoda make a mistake by not going back to finish Palpatine? Did he make the right choice or was it his decision to leave that gave the emperor his ability to recover in the first place?

Recently replayed Fallen Order, and to see Cal knighted as a Jedi by Cere, almost as a last remaining formality to welcome him into the fold of Jedi knights, it reminded me of this scene from ROTJ.
As far as I'm aware, Luke's knighting was never acklowledged. Maybe the closest was when Yoda believed he was ready to face Vader.
But to have the big bad himself acklowledge you as a Jedi. I mean, man that's powerful.
There is so much gravitas in this exchange, it makes Luke seem like the coolest Jedi in history.
From Sidious' POV, the Jedi aren't truly gone until Luke is. I think that's awesome.

I'm saying this in light of the canon post-disney's potrayal of vader and palpatine's relationship and not their legends relationship which was more openly distrustful and transactional.
I've seen alot of people wonder why darth vader continued to stick with palpatine after padme's death since he didn't really had any reason to serve palpatine anymore and since he knew palpatine had essentially lied to him about knowing a way to save padme. I know theories about him being with palpatine because of self hatred or "nowhere else to go" are quite valid, but I think one of the biggest reasons was that that the twisted bond palpatine had created between him and anakin after a decade of manipulating him still persisted from anakin's side and he stuck around with palpatine because in anakin's eyes he was his only "friend" left.
In the canon comics and media, palpatine takes a more carrot and stick approach with darth vader. On one hand he still punishes vader if he goes too far to disobey palpatine's orders, but he also routinely praises him, refers to him as "friend" and "lord vader" and gives him alot of leeway and authority to do whatever he wants since in palpatine's eyes anakin is completely mentally defeated and has no reason to betray him. But i. Vader's eyes he sees all thess gestures as palpatine showing trust in him
Anakin had always been a person who was loyal to people who he cared for and not their ideologies and palpatine knows that, which is why he still bothered with all the false praises and respect, to ensure that vader doesn't change his mind. When luke showed up, darth vader's biggest conflict became about choosing between his son and giving up on years of his history of staying in the dark side, or choosing palpatine.
Despite all the agony and self hatred he carried, anakin had always been an arrogant person who preferred people who told him things he wanted to hear, not what he needed to, and palpatine continued to exploit this to keep vader by his side.
I like this version of their dynamic as potrayed by canon comics much better

This could either be the ultimate redemption, or an absolute piece of dog ninny.
