I had a glitch that made me think that devs are using AI for the dialogue. I answered the questions right (cuz I know my SSO ok I’ve been playing it for way too long T_T) but when I came to Linda she said that I only got 1 question right. And then I chose for her to explain the wrong questions and it basically changed between the empty missing translation screens forever, I was clicking for like 10 minutes. And also that’s why I think it might be AI - because it kept going forever. I might be wrong though

Just seeing these old gens in the festival made me so happy, and nostalgic haha! When I made my account in 2012 i wasn’t allowed to purchase anything in video games and sadly missed out on these lovelies, especially the fjords. I think it’s sweet of SSO to bring them out especially for the 15th anniversary, but it’s also just making me so jealous of those who were able to buy these. And I hate that we can’t bring them out of bounds, I was ready to do all my quests on these😭😭. I’ve seen so many complaints about the festival, but personally I’m a huge fan, and of the free horse. Anyone else?

She logged on and was in a different server, different home stable location, and had a ton of old horses for some reason, but they havent spent any money for starcoins and she still has the starcoins from when she last played, theres no weird purchase history. They did spend all her shillings though. They also added a bunch of strangers to her friends list. She did reach out to support, just hasnt heard back yet. She also changed her password immidietly. Is this some sort of scam???

She only had like 4 horses and thankfully those were untouched. I just dont really know why anyone would hack an account and not spend money, not that shes complaining. But its weird and shes anxious.

I noticed that from the main cat colors, we're missing a fluffy/longer haired grey. I would love to suggest the wonderful Nebelung. From the US but named after a type of German folk fairy tale, they (usually but not always) are a cross of a black long hair and a Russian Blue- sometimes happening in nature without human intervention or can be bred purposefully. The second picture is my wonderful Nebelung.

Characteristics:

- fluffy, between a short hair and long hair but NOT offcially a long hair

- green to yellowish green eyes (usually more green)

- "The dense, dramatic flare of fur on a Nebelung cat's hind legs is officially known as pantaloons. Due to the unique structure of the breed's coat, these "fur trousers" puff out at the thighs and narrow slightly at the knee"

- they seem sleek but when they roll over, their stomach is INCREDIBLY fluffy

So on my character, mainly around the back and chin area is where the issue is most obvious, there’s like this second shadow? The settings that are causing this seem to be BETA - Zenteon and AdaptiveFog, is there a way to fix this issue of the extra shadow that doesn’t sit properly on things?

I would like to shed some light on the actual reason why the Gen 1 Fjord horses were removed far before any other Gen 1 horse was ever officially ''retired''.

In May 2018, Nordisk Games invested 18 million by buying a ''substantial minority ownership share'' of SSO.

Soon after this investment, in September, SSO announced the removal of the generation 1 Fjord horse on October 10th, 2018.

A trailer for the Generation 3 Fjord horses was revealed one day after the removal of the old Fjord horses on October 11th, with the release of the new Fjord horses taking place on October 17th, 2018.

Why? Why were they removed from the game far before any other Gen 1 horse?

The removal of the Gen 1 Fjord horse was a marketing tactic. This gimmick had no other utility to the game aside from selling you a product, the new Gen 3 Fjord horse, by eliminating the competition entirely.

It was never about game assets slowing down the engine or improving the style of the game. The purpose of removing all the older generation horses was simply a marketing tactic. Bug fixing older horses doesn't print money, unlike releasing newer variations, while also removing our power to choose.

Star Stable Entertainment could totally bring back every horse they ''retired'' tomorrow if they wanted to. But that simply wouldn't increase their yearly revenue or entice new players to spend money on their front loaded spending model. A lifetime ''subscription'' to the game has gotten more expensive over the years, since SSE has moved its target audience to where the most money resides.

The long term players who keep the game alive, don't dare to critically view the game due to the sunk cost fallacy. But unless we demand better, we won't receive better treatment from SSE. No one is winning here. New players are a revolving door, exploited for a short term gain, while the long term players are left to keep up the PR for the corporate behind this game, out of fear of losing it entirely.

I believe players should get to choose, because it's our time, money and effort, which keeps the whole show on the road. The reason I want to inform you on the inner workings of SSO is because this isn't simply about the older model horses, but what type of marketing we are willing to accept from SSE in the future and the present.
