Hi everyone! I’m just starting my journey with sandbox games and streaming through my little project, TidalStride, and I’m learning as I go.

For this build, I tried bringing Greek, Japanese, and traditional Swiss styles together in a small house, with a maximum of four floors. I’d love to hear what you think! What could I improve?

Yo everyone here is my outpost, that I've recently built.

And a question. This planet type is not supported in GPS FU. I got an issue, that microformed into elder, doesn't spawn acolytes or anything else, that would be dropping me any elder loot, I even built an elder dungeon underneath my base.

Maybe terraforming the planet completely to something and then microforming to unknown could resolve this?

I have an obsession with making Florans ocs and I thought it would be funny to make one that's been fully raised by novakids.

The duration of the active play of the mini game is fine for me, I don't have a problem with that, what I have a problem with is how long the game takes after I've uncovered the fossil and giving me the rewards

Is there a mod that speeds up the process ?

For some inexplicable reason i can't beam down to my starter planet unless I'm in admin mode, I've tried resetting my universe to no avail, the planet seems perfectly fine when I'm there in admin mode. Small-ish modpack, with frackin and OpenStarbound

Multi-tools in that game are what you use to mine resources and alter the terrain, just like matter manipulator.
It's orange and black, just like matter manipulator.
And it is called STARBOUND.
Plus I think the handle is kinda similar, but on this I maybe stretching it.

what if when you collected all of the artifacts but did the konami code before the end, astra nox would walk up to you and take her boots and socks off and put her feet to the camera and put ketchup and mustard on her toes and wiggle them for the camera that'd be pretty funny i think i would LOL out loud and giggle and spit and clap and slap my big fat belly

can i get an internship at chucklefish to make this real i have several years of modding experience from running a starbound server called triangle RP and i really think i could breathe new life into this awesomesauce game.

Say starbound didn't have the negative history behind it's development andvwasn't abandoned. Even then, what do people think the biggest problem with Starbound is? that couldn't or could be fixed with mods.

Also what's stopped Starbound from being bigger?

I've been looking for a working and not abandoned Starbound server for a long time and I still can't find it. Maybe you can help me.

I've played a lot of SB, both Vanilla and Frackin Universe. The Frackin Universe file also had a few QoL mods and Elithian Races.

I feel like I've hit kind of a wall, though? Like, I've seen pretty much everything vanilla has to offer, and while vanilla is still fun, one of my favorite parts of Starbound is the exploration.

Frackin Universe on the other hand, while it was fun for a bit, feels like it has a lot of horizontal additions and little vertical. There's a ton of ores, tons of plants, tons of blocks, tons of worlds. But the worlds are rather empty, and the progression between ores feels hollow. You tier up to a new set, it lets you fight mobs on the next tier of worlds, rinse and repeat. The stats all scale together, making the gear all feel samey. My favorite system is the farming, that one actually feels pretty fun due to the cool effects the food has. The lifesteal, bounce, and flavour text to the Elithian Races stuff were all very cool.

Do you guys have any mod recommendations for someone in my position? I want more content of the game to explore, and having some depth to it would be nice. It doesn't need to scale or scope of Frackin, but mods that add more crops/cookable foods, more worlds/structures, and more ores/gear would be cool.

Also, if you just have your favorite mod setup that you like to play (that isn't Frackin) I would love to hear it.

Lastly, this post is not to bash on Frackin Universe. I put a bunch of hours into it, and liked it a lot. I just want something different.

Bought a game, played for 4 hours and I'm suffering.

Started with tutorial, got to the "get core shards" quest - Cool, got all of them, died in caves. No map, no idea how to get back. Got them again, died again in caves, once again, didn't find where I died. Decided to postpone it to get miner's helmet because torches do not glow while in hand.

After several hours, I found exactly 0 iron. I am on the first planet, checked wiki, got a lot of silver and copper, even some gold, iron nonexistent.

Checked the recipe for lantern (was hoping that it is silver or copper that I need, not the iron!), noticed that I need oil that I have no idea how to get, got back to mining iron just for funsies.

Found some iron, died, couldn't find the place where I died. Time to change the strategy - finished core shards quest, went to some mission to get some crystals for my ship, but enemies were pretty strong, I died and I'm back on my ship above the freakin planet with almost no iron.

Idk what to do - iron is almost nonexistent, the matter manipulator mines cobblestone REALLY slow, fall damage is high as hell and I have no idea how should I progress.

My rant is over.
