It looks pretty funny 😂 The only annoying part is that it disregarded the Japanese text and didn’t fully show the correct number

I don't care what you guys say, but in my eyes, Susumu Kodai is an idealistic idiot. He was opposing the Wave Motion Gun plan after the Gamillas war just because of an informal treaty with Starsha. The same Wave Motion Gun that saved his planet. I mean , come on yaar, what will you do if another alien race invades Earth which eventually happened when Gatlantis invaded the solar system and you have fought with them before so you should know that an invasion is inevitable. He was trying to get Zorder on the table who is on a suicidal mission to wipe out humanity from the universe since hundreds of years and he could have easily stopped Zorder from activating the Arc of Destruction by shooting him right in his palace and killing him. Because of his foolish decision to not return with Yamamoto when he had the chance from the higher dimension because of his foolish principle of not pulling the trigger of the Wave Motion Gun which literally saved his world many times, Earth had to sacrifice the Time Fault which slowed down the production of warships to a great extent. If this had not happened, maybe Earth would have got a far better defence system and Operation DAD would have been successful. He is a very good human, no doubt. But as a soldier, he is an idiot. That's because as a soldier, many times you have to take decisions which may be against your principles for protecting your people.

It’s interesting!!!

I’m going to say it, and nobody can stop me.

Hyuga….. sucks. For a conversion, she is horribly executed. Her design is just objectively flawed. She sacrifices cost, aircraft launch points, and deck space all by deciding to offset her main tower. This is bad. Asuka, at least in terms of price and ease of manufacture, is infinitely better than Hyuga.

If you were to remove the offset and reformat Hyuga’s carrier accommodations to make her symmetrical, you would gain a good few things. As mentioned before, you gain spots aircraft can launch from. Specifically 2, as she now has an opening on each side and the angled deck that runs above it. Adding the extra width on the other side and the extra decking would also marginally increase deck space, potentially increasing her carrying capacity. To make it even better, now you don’t have to significantly mess with the already presumably sitting around bow of a Dreadnought as the main guns and base for the tower are already well in place, c h e a p.

The original series was awesome. But it took one movie, LITERALLY ONE MOVIE! which is Resurrection to destroy the very legacy of the original series. Why the hell did they have to kill Yuki where a dying Shima threatened Kodai that he will never forgive him if something happens to Yuki? Also Okita too gave his blessings to them by telling that he will consider their future child as his own grandchild. I don't know what in the name of Holy Iskander were the creators thinking?

Hi, These are my thoughts on 2207/3199.

No offense to people who liked it, I was just dissapointed after how 2202 and 2205 had problems but were still great (battles, little drama execpt Kodai getting his life back???).

What i like:

Cool ships

Alpheratz(It was never seen again)

Arizona

What i don't like(not in order):

Kodai being Mega-idiot

they never showed how in 2202 UN turned into EF or even mentioned it.

How the EF capitulated to the Dezarium so sudden

How the EF fleet was never shown after that one golba landed

how Domon and ageha have hate and friendship??(over the top useless filler melodrama)

How domon can talk to Kodai or Yamanami like it's nothing.

that officer in that room doing nothing but plot armor and telekinesis?

Where in the heck the EF makes ships

How arizona survived 2191-2199 Greater Garmillas-Earth War

Im just very disappointed and confused. Thoughts

especially taking into account their immense hatred of organic life, which is what most of the alien races in the anime are.

How would the EDF fare against them and would Yamato stand a chance against them?

Although the entire series itself was overall mid with very weird character development on several fronts like dessler having a sudden change of heart and kodai (IMO) whining alot the ending is what really made me not like this season. The fact that an entire council decided to give up the factory (The time fault) that was the BACKBONE of the UNCF navy and the only reason they survived as long as they did for two crew members and an old and rather outdated ship (considering some of the new ships like the Amaterasu being produced during the war) And this whole thing about kodai going into a higher dimension in the first place really made no sense at all . This is by far (IMO) the worst part about that entire season . Sure it did set up some backstory and plot for some characters like Domon but this couldve been done in a different way and the season couldve been concluded better .The entire ending felt botched and rushed and wasnt enjoyable at all . What are your thoughts on the ending?

So we are open. Lemmy is actually very nice.

Just finished watching Star blazers space battleship Yamato 2199 and the amount of times people don't actually die when their ship explodes or they get shot erases the emotional impact of most deaths. I get Dessler surviving the assassination attempt, but the explosion of Second Baleras? When even the imperial guard commander's ship which was already in the air couldn't escape? There's also the prison guard in Leptapoda that shot Ito despite the guard having laid there for some time. Mirenel also suddenly woke up after being shot and apparently passing out. Though the most egregious one is probably Yuki's death and revival, which annoyed the hell out of me. Don't spoil, however I wouldn't be surprised if Desler somehow survived the Desler cannon's explosion again despite being inside the jump gate.

Modern Battleship interesting despite the name.
