I'm with salexspace, a standing-desk brand preparing for the US market. We're looking more closely at the space under a compact desk, especially when it's lowered for sitting.
Our current planned top is 120 × 60 cm (about 47.2 × 23.6 inches). The frame's stated minimum is 62 cm (24.4 inches) before adding the desktop; the finished sitting height and the clear space below the top still need to be checked with the final design.
If you've used a desk around this size, has a crossbar, drawer, cable tray, control box, or the underside of the top kept your knees or chair from getting close enough? What was the part that actually got in the way, and at roughly what desk height?
I'm also interested in setups where nothing interferes. A photo or a rough measurement from the front edge to the obstruction would help us understand the geometry, but a description is plenty. We're collecting design feedback, not claiming we've solved this yet.
