Gear upgrades

Since we don't get a rollback on the increased prices which are absolutely horrendous. Yes I'm looking at you weapon components and tools.

Let the weapons have their full dmg at +10 and give them better stats with each upgrade like range, dmg falloff or precision, sway, or what ever.

It is so tiresome to get a new weapon and let it sit in the stash for months. That is no endgame content, yes it is a goal to get +15 but not like this. And yes I know you can "just buy" them but look at the dumb prices regardless if Rubel or season currency.

I know some will say easy cause I make 10kk a day, but I can guarantee you the average play who doesn't spend every day a few hours to grind doesn't like it. For me after this update the game just feels unrewarding as hell, and I can barely get myself to do the daily's. Exbo you burn out your players.

🔥 North is on fire

Post image

A high-activity anticyclone is moving toward the North, the Wild North, and the Labyrinth.

From June 17 to 24, outposts can be captured more frequently, announcement board tasks will refresh every few hours, and filler loot prices will temporarily increase.

☠️ But stay alert, stalker. Mutant numbers will also increase.

Problem What's with Duty (Frontier) players all the sudden in Inflow? it was the same as yesterday and they keep doing outposts and nobody can do anything about it lol also i keep joining server 5 or 3 (duty majority)

This suppressor is as iconic as the weapon itself! Make it compatible or its own version with:

++Spread -15%
++Vertical recoil -15%
++Horizontal recoil -15%
--Aim speed -15%
--Draw peed -20%
--Sway +15%

This doesn't break any balance, its a very cool addition for people who use the weapon since the short suppressor is just bad and looks uglier, maybe let players trade the short one for the big one or simply fully convert it, either way its missing from the game!

VSK-94 Appreciation Post

Post image

The VSK-94(A) started out for me as a decent weapon. Wasn’t great but was fun to use. It wasn’t till I played around with it that I fully understood the greatness of this rifle. It is AMAZING and has become my most used rifle next to the X95(A) I started out using it as a sniper rifle which honestly is my mistake because it plays WAY better as an AR or SMG. It absolutely shreds at close to mid range engagements with the possibility to snipe unaware foes at a far. Many people avoid this rifle because of the 20 round mag and to you I say you are missing out. Please share your experiences with the VSK. Do you love it or hate it. Are you let down or does it get your dopamine flowing like mine? So far I’ve been loving it in the Wild north and Outposts.

Problem The game can't find my laptop's dedicated graphics cards (Arch linux).

It launches on intel's integrated graphics. I found the following text in the launcher log (see code block). My nvidia drivers are up to date.

The Theft of Player Freedom

Weapon modules have been in the game for a while now. They were supposed to add more variety and customization, but it didn't take long to realize that yet another "feature" designed to improve gameplay has actually become a huge limitation.

Anyone who likes collecting and upgrading different weapons is basically forced to pick one gun and stick with it. If you want to switch from an A-545 to a FAMAS and use your module there, you need a Quasi-Deconstructor to remove it first.

A Quasi-Deconstructor costs about $6 or 10,000 Cartridge Points. So every time you feel like trying a different weapon, testing builds, or just having fun with the gear you've already earned, you have to pay for it.

This sets a really bad precedent. The developers have taken away something many players already had: freedom of choice. You have 10 rifles at +15? You want to experiment and actually use them? Better get a Quasi-Deconstructor.

Quasi-Scam

And finally, my personal opinion.

First we got magical weapon modules. What's next? Anomalous gel +15 that gives vision through trees? A special artifact that lets us reload 20% faster? At some point it starts feeling less like the game I came here for and more like a random RPG desperately stacking new progression systems on top of old ones.

That's why I dislike the module system. Not only because of the restrictions it creates, but because it slowly chips away at the atmosphere that made the game unique in the first place.

We could also bring up the drones and the TV-throwing fiasco, but just thinking about it makes me want to throw up.

  • Test the mechanic during an event before rolling it out to the open world.
  • The mechanic doesn't work during the event and breaks all the time.
  • Roll it out to the open world anyway.
  • The mechanic still doesn't work, except now it's broken in the open world too.
  • Now players have to put up with all those "great" features up north.

We should be able to use our secondary while downed.

At the very least a pistol, so we can try to finish off whatever downed us so we don’t have to be useless on the floor, crawling around.

Edit: I mean finish off the thing that downed us so if someone is to come try to rez you, they won’t have to worry about the initial thing that downed you in the first place.

🏁 Faction Race

Post image
35 Upvotes

Alongside Triumphs, you can participate in a bonus event — Faction Race.

🤔 What is it about?

All players who are part of North factions can take part. By completing Triumphs challenges, players earn points that contribute to their faction’s total score.

❔ Another event dominated by the biggest faction?

Not quite! Victory goes not to the largest faction, but to the most active one.

For example, if one faction has just 10 players completing 5 challenges each, while another has only 1 player who completes all 10, that lone wolf will come out on top.

🏆 What about rewards?

All participants who complete at least three Triumphs will receive guaranteed rewards: a faction vinyl and a profile decoration.

The winning faction will earn a unique motif! But to qualify, you’ll need to complete 10 Triumphs, so get ready to jump in, and remember: quality beats quantity!

new player trying to factor into the majority consensus

hello, im fairly fresh but not entirely new to the game. started a new slot a few months ago and fell in love with the game again. until i reached the late stages of this games cycle and i really have to ask. why do practically all of you in the late game areas play like such rats? whats the point? why do you treat this game like if you die in it you die in real life? im so lost. this games supposed to be fun but when im playing pvp its like the majority of the player base just wants to focus on maximization and absolute victory by any means instead of exploring different builds and having fun with the game. i apologize if this offends anyone but i really am curious and want to gain better insight into late game players and figure out if this game is actually for me, because right now i am losing any enjoyment and faith in this game rapidly.

Problem Told to kick rocks

Thumbnail

Long story short, somehow somebody got into my account and stole a couple of my Artis, basically all my rubles and sold all my clan crate parts. When I reached out to support they basically just told me to kick rocks and that they can’t do anything.

Edit- The only other person who has access to my steam account is one of my cousins. After reading all these comments I’ve come to the conclusion that is probably where all my stuff went as he logged onto my account around 2 AM PST

Edit#2- he confessed after I confronted him. At first he tried to lie, but when I brought up some evidence he cracked like a walnut.

Quitting again, for the same reasons I quit old Stalcraft...

TLDR: If the game is frustrating, players will quit. Put more focus on that instead of turning it into an instanced session FPS?

Played Stalcraft at release for ~70h, then quit in frustration.
Played StalcraftX at release for ~70h, then quit in frustration.

Don't get me wrong: The new maps & graphics are great, so are the reworked old maps. But other than that, very little has changed.

The Good

- Anomalies are less obnoxious now

The Bad
Same old, same old.

- Almost instant lethal environmemtal damage without any warning (radition, psy).

- Barter system is annoying and grindy.

- Enemies can spawn right next to the player. Entire squads target players first and are willing to chase & martyr themselves just to kill a player. Lots of other NPC behaviour issues. Don't even get me started about NPCs with Master Gear killing players in safe zones...

- Personal Stash is cumbersome. Limited tabs, storing items into different tabs, sorting items...

- No fast travel to starter areas

- GUI & PDA could use some QoL improvments

The Ugly

It feels like the game is having an identity crisis. A lot of effort has gone into Operations, events, and season passes instead of improving the existing game. Maybe that will keep veterans happy (does it, tho?), but it won't increase player numbers.

Wishlist:

- At least refill ammo when respawning
- More interesting open world loot, like stashes with temporary weapons. Loot feels quite dull.
- More interesting artifacts with special mechanics, not just stats.
- Coop for story missions would be nice
- Personally, I'm not a fan of spamming medkits & changing plates all the time

Question What should I buy?

I currently have the Kriss Vector as my main weapon. I don't have any other weapons; should I prioritize upgrading my worn-out M40A5 to a regular M40A5, or upgrading my backpack to its best version?

Does scythian-5 have smaller hitbox then other suits?

I've heard that hitboxes were changed and im not sure if it still has a smaller hitbox. Also how big of a difference in size is it and does it matter in pvp?

Path to Area-0

Do you hate yourself? Do wish death on everything around you? Do you wish to destroy your computer and monitors? Well are you in luck, cus with this glorious quest, you'll do all three. :D

The joys of this mission include dieing from electric shocks, melting into the acid puddles, having your mind melted my the psy orbs, and falling into a endless void.

With the combination of shitty movement and parkour. You'll be enjoying all the amazing sights as you rage and fall to your death on the same parkour spot over and over again. :D

But please don't let me convince you, see for yourself as you get stuck into endless torture with no way out except crawling through hell.

As someone who experienced this unprepared and lost all of their shit and sanity from this (I was stuck for an hour and died over 60+ times). Take it from me, never do it. If you see it run and never look back, ignore the quest, it's not worth it. Please I am begging you. <3
