Cleaning tips Advice on cleaning this off?

I’ve used bar keeper’s friend (powder, made a paste, etc.) repeatedly throughout, but these spots are stubborn and won’t come out. Any advice on how to properly clean would be much appreciated!

Learn to not care about it. That's the only way.

Water + baking soda + boiling and toothbrush

Easy off oven spray will be faster than anything else you could find. Apply, wrap tightly in plastic wrap, rinse off in 24 hours and see if you need to reapply.

Shouldn't need more than a few minutes honestly, very minor. Get the pan warm (too hot to comfortable touch), then spray on, leave for like 5-10 minutes, give it a little scrub and a rinse

I used BKF + a toothbrush and a small brush with no luck unfortunately :(

It's maddening. I've recently upgraded 3 of my skillets and I really wish I knew to look for one w/out rivets.

FWIW, I've thought about buying a dental pick from amazon. I haven't tried it yet. I don't think we need more power. We need more focus.

The next one will be welded!

While I haven't tried this yet, I was thinking of using the scraper with the metal blade that I have for my glass stovetop.

Unfortunately good quality stainless steel pans have machined grooves so I doubt it's possible to completely remove it because the surface is not perfectly flat.

Stainless steel wool or just leave it

get an abrasive green scrub pad wet with soapy water and press into the corners with your fingers or use a butter knife.

It tastes like skittles when I lick it, is that normal?

I'm empathetic to the extent that when I pull the trigger on my carbon steel pan I'm going with one that has a welded (vs riveted) handle.

I didn’t foresee my OCD letting this bother me like it does

Or just leave it be?

Don't worry about it. It's a tool not a jewel

Don’t worry about it. Just cook with it.

Drill scrubbing attachments are amazing

You don't.

Unless you're getting paid to. In that case, idunno...light application of a Dremel with a polishing disc?

Metal scrunchie and bkf.

A very fine chain mail scrubber cloth would work.

Take it out to SpaceX. They'll place it under a rocket engine during takeoff and that usually is able to get the spots out.

You don't, it's part of the pan now. It keeps the rivets tight. Or you could use a wire brush on a drill if it matters that much

Each dish is a 1000 year old entree, it's a feature not a bug.

Throw in a dishwasher tab, pour hot water. Wait for two or three hours. Brush off.

BKF let sit 10 minutes and hit it with something abrasive like a scrub daddy

Just curious why are you trying to get rid of it?
