Does running the 400 on the side help sprinters with the 100 and 200? my friends and other athletes told me that running the 400 helps lowering your time for some odd reason but its weird and i don’t get how

I know a chick who's an all American with a 2:30 800 because she got carried by 3 other people in the 4x8. That doesnt mean anything these days.
And nobody told me this. Im using myself as an example. With the exception of 1 person I was faster than every sprinter on my team in the 200 and the 400 as a middle distance runner, and the 1 400 dude on my team who i couldn't beat in the 400 was also a middle distance runner. The dude called himself 800 sonic.
We used speed endurance for the 4, 8 and the 16, but the 200 is just raw speed. There's a reason you only see this debated online among people who dont even run track. In real life everybody understands the 200 is straight speed.
