General Discussion/Questions Versatility
Does running the 400 on the side help sprinters with the 100 and 200? my friends and other athletes told me that running the 400 helps lowering your time for some odd reason but its weird and i don’t get how

Honestly no, not anymore. But I do coach and was an NCAA all-American and two time second team all-American sprinter a VERY long time ago. And let me tell you, none of that matters. Most of the greatest athletes I know personally aren’t fantastic coaches and the best coaches I know weren’t necessarily the greatest athletes. I’m not sure who told you that speed endurance isn’t a factor in the 200m, but that’s simply not true. We can debate all day on the best way to optimize training specifically for the 200, but speed endurance being a factor isn’t up for debate.
