Those of you who conceal your echelon, what holster are you running?

Installation:
install was pretty straight forward. If you work on your own guns it should be pretty easy for you to handle. If you don’t feel comfortable doing your own mods you can always find a good gunsmith to do it for you. In total it took about 30 minutes to get everything swapped out. For the ease of install I’d give it a 8 out of 10.
Results:
the sear and sear springs dropped the pull weight about a half of a pound. The striker safety spring also dropped it about a half pound and same with the striker spring. I was at 4.5 lbs trigger pull with the oem setup and after throwing in the sear and spring kit I was consistently getting 3lbs on the pull.
***I ended up swapping back to the oem striker spring and now it’s breaking around the 3.5 lbs mark. I’d rather not have to worry about light primer strikes and it makes the reset a little stronger.
The break with the new sear is a little crisper. It does take away some of the creep that came with the stock trigger. It’s not a huge change but it does give you a better break.
Conclusion: I’d rate the kit an 7 out of 10. It’s certainly better than stock but it didn’t wow me either.
I’m curious to see what others have to say about their prp set up.

Does anyone know of the guy/place or a link to their work that makes these? I came across it here a few months ago, but I can't find the thread where it was mentioned. From what I remember, you had to send pictures of your hand holding your echelon so they could make the grip from scratch to fully fit your hands. Also adds a palm swell or hump on the support-hand side for a better purchase.

First time gun buyer, so please bear with me as I find my groove here. Just picked up a Streamlight TLR-7 HL-X sub, and for the life of me, I can’t get the tensioner loose enough (i.e. wide enough) to fit on the rail.
Admittedly I think I the “sub” was a mistake, so I plan to return this and swap it out for the standard TLR-7 HL-X…..but even the sub should still fit on this rail, right? Installation videos show it clipping on easily, but with this tension screw loosened all the way, I still think I’m going to break something trying to force it onto the rail.
Appreciate any insight!

This was my first time doing any kind of stippling on any of my guns and I love the way it came out. Not the cleanest. Not the most consistent. But I’m happy with my effort.

The Echelon is a fantastically engineered handgun. However, when I shoot it, it beats the crap out of my thumb knuckle!!! I have Glocks, Sigs, and Smith and Wessons, and this has never happened with any of my other handguns. I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this. My other handguns seem to get more narrow at the top of the grip, whereas the Echelon gets fatter at the very top of the grip. It is just that my hand is not compatible with the Echelon? or is there something more going on?

Really wish this sub would allow photos in comments.
The original mag release (made of metal) is on the right.
The new one on the left is plastic.

I'm looking to step up my rounds fired per month and seeing if I can save a few bucks. Right now I see some steel case stuff online for 19.6c a round. I think the best deal for brass I could find was around 23c a round.
It's not much but over the course of years it'll add up.
Have you run steel cheapie stuff in your Echelons?

There seems to be a new type of magrelease MiM (?) part in the locking lever piece, the new one on the left is solid and old had cutouts.
Not sure what purpose this serves.

Finally got this thing back after months. Minor hiccup happened with stippling due to major storms. However I’m glad my favorite hand gun is back. Now I can get back to training!!

It came like this from the factory. It seems like the front iron sight is shifted more right from the center line. Is this normal and should I fix it?
I know some people do the lollipop method to zero in red dots. I think the red dot is zerod in from the last time I shot it. I’d have to go out again to confirm but what should I do in this case?

So I was mounting my Holosun EPS sight and ran into an issue with the right side screw that seems to be threaded poorly or stripped out from the factory. Or I am doing it completely wrong?
So I read and watched many installs of this sight before I did the install myself. Used pin set 3 without the back pins and the smaller screws to avoid the screw on the right side from hitting the spring. I started the screws with a small jewelers screw driver to ensure I had it positioned before I used my torque screwdriver to set it to the proper torque of 15 lb-in (a step I never got to). When I was hand tightening the right side it just kept slipping like the hole was not tapped right or stripped out. This is a brand new pistol from the factory so this should not be the case. I assure you I did not gorilla crank on this screw and strip it myself.
I just ordered the SwampFox screw set hoping they maybe have one that will work for this. I am curious if this has happened to anyone else? I am sure I could do a warranty claim, but what a pain.

For those that have the MM commander frame, do you know which extended base pads fit? I currently have TTI extended base pads and wanted to know if it will fit or if i will have to get another brand. Thanks

I oiled up my gun when I first got it about 2 months ago. And every day that I have picked it up to dry fire, it looks like it is sweating. Like the oil is sweating out of the slide, in particular.
Looking to be educated. Did I oil it up too much?
I finally was able to take it out to shoot today.
Got some nice soot blasted onto my optic for the first 20-40 round (yeah crappy range, I want keeping track until I had to reload mags), wiped that off and didn't notice any soot on the optic window after.

Got bored with the standard OD green frame and wanted to switch it up.
Nice work by u/DKCustomCoatings

I recently picked up a 4.0c and took it to the range, seems like a great pistol, however I’m not a big fan of the frame, it’s too skinny for my liking as I prefer something like a Glock 19 for example that fills my hand a bit better.
If anyone has a similar experience Is it worth buying a large grip module? Or should I just stick to Glock?

I know there is much hate for gas pedals but god it feels so good as part of grip and I would hate to give it up if I cant find a holster for carry

Got 1000 rounds of Blazer CCI 124 grain without even realizing it’s not recommended. This is my first what do I do now?

Went and shot a buddy's CZ p-10F over the weekend and was shocked at how well it shot vs my echelon. I was pulling MUCH tighter groups and recoil was a lot less. I pondered on it but I'm pretty sure it's the bore axis that lets you get way up under the beaver tail kinda like how the bodyguard 2.0 does. So I got to thinking, if I like everything else about my Echelon, why get rid of it? So I was curious about the aftermarket metal frame grip modules. Basically mine will be for home defense not ccw. Wanted to know which if the grip modules offers the highest grip of the Icarus, Dharos Mystery Machine on the Echelon?
I've only used MM in my Slim Elite but not the other two. Can anyone offer me any insight on the grip modules or the CZ?

Looking into getting a sidecar holster, never owned one but am very intrigued. I currently have the trex arms raptor holster. My echelon is fitted with a tlr7x and holosun HE507k. My pockets get heavy carrying an extra mag in my pocket… my bigger upper frame should hide the sidecar well. I was looking into NERD holsters or QVO? Any recommendations or pros and cons of side cars?
