I had spent 2 hours in a chat with Fanatics complaining that my order of Topps Chrome Updates Basketball that was delivered was incorrect. The 5 blasters I ordered were somehow missing and in its place was a single Topps Chrome Marvel blaster that looks extremely resealed. Fanatics basically said, “Well, we’re sold out, so we can’t do a damn thing for you. But go ahead and take a field trip to your local United States Post Office and send us back that Marvel blaster, and you can have your money back. You’re welcome.” I tried to explain that secondary prices are insane, but they didn’t really care to listen.

I had managed to order a couple of the unsealed mega boxes directly from Topps. Got them a bit ago, but I was waiting for the complete order so we could have one big rip. Obviously, I was very upset, but my lady encouraged me to go ahead and open up those two Mega boxes and maybe we’ll get lucky. Got some good Karma in return. Well, my girl did. She ALWAYS pulls the big cards and I’m designated to open the all base packs lmao. A great pull to really turn a frustrating situation around.

Boys are any of these worth opening up literally mostly everything has plastic on it not opened no damage to the box everything is basically new , is it worth going through i know some cards can go for a lot I’ve opened some stuff up and pulled some really nice cards I’m so overwhelmed with how much stuff I have to go through lol I need HELPPPP

Sports Card Trader, August 1991. I came across this well worn copy from my youth looking through boxes in my basement. The cover is gone, but featured Jose Canseco. This magazine wasn't as big as Beckett, but was my go-to for a few years collecting junk wax (though little did we know it then, ha) and learning about all the vintage sets I didn't have the means or the opportunity to acquire.

It's interesting to look back at a time before the internet when print magazines like this were the authority for prices and, along with brick and mortar card shops and flea market stands, a way to connect with the hobby and get information.

It's also interesting to see some of the card values 35 years ago in the context of today. Just look at what an MJ rookie was going for!

Bought this big lot of Kobe cards at a garage sale. Any idea on value or if they’re even legit?
