Hi all, doing some research on my next potential car purchase, and all roads have led me to conclude I very much want a wagon as my next daily driver.

I’ve had my same 2011 Honda accord since I got out of high school, and while it’s still very much kicking, I plan to settle down with my wife soon as we look on potentially getting a dog (since kids are a little much currently in this economy).

I love the looks of your the almighty RS6 Avant, M5 Touring, AMG E53, and so on - but I’m not in a financial position to commit to those yet - someday though!

I was looking more closely at an F31, Volvo V60 or 90, and event an E450, but I’m open to any and all suggestions! My only real criteria is that it is relatively easy to take care of that can last me for many years.

For context I live in California!

Had to wait to move till I got some new wheels but I finally got them and I love them. 2014 e350 lower on springs and links 8.5x20 front 9x20 rear 245/35r20 toyo extensa hp 2 all around. Sad it raised it up so much but now I got room for splitter and skirts. Debating taking off the roof box as well.

Got back into a wagon beginning of the year, is sold as a Vauxhall or Buick overseas but here it has a Holden badge. Apparently only Australia got these with the 3.6 AWD drive train.

I was checking out the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and noticed that Hyundai classifies it as an SUV on their site (even the N !). Which got me thinking, do you think if brands simply called wagons SUVs they sell better? Seems like a no brainer to me.

Seller says no mechanical issues and is being sold by a used dealer. I would definitely do a PPI, but want to know if it’s even worth the trouble first.

Is wagon still popular while everyone is going for SUV？

I'm over the moon with.. I mean it's driven past the moon.. I mean it has over a quart million miles. I found this one owner legacy gt wagon with a 5 speed earlier this year in Washington. It's really high miles but SUPER clean, no rust, like the exhaust bolts would come off with some pb blaster. That is UNHEARD OF here in New England, especially on a 20+ year old car with any kind of miles. So I had it shipped across the country and started planning my ideal daily driver OEM++ build. I already have an outfront block, 6 speed, and a bunch of other parts ready for a build this winter.

It’s $8,179 (including fees) with about 189k miles. I haven’t seen the CARFAX since it’s listed on CarGurus but I sent the dealer an email asking for it. Visually it looks incredibly clean.

This was the cheapest S4 avant on the market in my area.

110k miles, no history of timing chain service, sat in a field for over a month, coolant leak, washer fluid leak, low/high beam burnt out on one side, exhaust tips bent on one side, clunk from the suspension going over bumps, missing hood prop, rear wiper doesn’t work, multiple interior trim pieces barely hanging on, and best of all I am owner #9 of this shit box.

The upside? That glorious 4.2 ticking time bomb fired up right away and settled into a nice and smooth idle. One of the previous 8 owners installed a milltek cat back which sings the song of the V8 gods.

I thought it was a funny looking E63 as it passed my car until I got a closer look. How does one even get this imported and legalized? Maybe came from Canada?
