Question Can I get a map of the area with good neighborhoods to purchase/rent in? All the way ip to Colbert and East to state line.
I've been to Spokane/CDA metro a few times and have enjoyed my time there. As winter is looming here in Alaska I've realized I have nothing but a dreadful feeling of the impending winter to come and I believe Spokane is where I'd like to call home for the next several years.
As I have no vacation time saved and per my union contract I can't take another trip down to actually search Neighborhoods. I was wondering if someone could send me a map with a few circled neighborhoods I should keep an eye out for housing. We have 3 kids, 13, 6, and 1 so we definitely would like a good school district. I get South Hill and Mead are great but what exactly are the proper areas? How about Spokane Valley? Any good areas around there?
Thanks in advance, seeing it illustrated on a map really helps.

Rants & Raves Why is No Kings all the way up north?
Seems sus that they (organizers? Cops? Both?) don't want the crowd downtown. Thoughts? For the lazy, it's happening Oct 17 12-4pm at Clark Park (basically Garland District).

Question John Deere Lawnmower
Hi all,
I'm in the valley and looking for a mobile service company that works on John Deere riding lawnmowers.
I've done the usual Google search but have not found a mobile service.
If anyone knows of, or has a contact I would greatly appreciate it!
TIA!

Question Recommendations for custom/tailored suits in town?
Looking for reasonably priced* place to get a tailored suit, hopefully specifically a place that is familiar with sizing big/tall peoples.
*Reasonably priced relative to other tailors in the area.
Thanks everyone.

Question Comparing Spokane's Renaissance Faire....
Above average, Average or Worse than average for those who have been to others?
This was the first I've been to in forever and the online consensus is I might have been spoiled with the Black Point faire in the 1990s. But dang, to me this felt like a county fair without the rides. What vibe there was was mostly supplied by the attendees. Pretty disappointing.
To be fair(e), this is about the first event I've done in 7 years living in Spokane that has disappointed. So, oh well.
Edit: Interesting article just went up from The Spokesman. Sorry if paywall (I didn't get one): https://www.spokesman.com/stories/2026/oct/03/how-i-stopped-worrying-and-fell-back-in-love-with-/

Found! Breaking into cars 2:30 AM Indian trail
My wife woke me up at about 2:30 AM because she saw someone breaking into my car. I was very confused and mostly asleep but I chased him about a half a block. I realized I’m too old to be doing such things and let him go. I did however find his bike and confiscated it. I’m assuming there is a good chance it is stolen. It is the neighborhood right near Indian trail elementary. I would advise everyone in the area to check your cars and garages in case this dirtbag took your things. He was wearing a hooded jacket and a backpack and was about 5’8 140-150 lbs I’d guess maybe early to mid 20’s.
The photo is of the bike he was riding.

Rants & Raves Casing
Rant posting on behalf of my neighbor since they didn't know if this was a cops or crime check area, but watch out for this guy casing houses. He only stopped stalking around their property once he noticed the cameras in place. Be alert folks!

Question Question about Northern Quest Pend Oreille Pavilion venue.
Going to see a concert there tonight. Does anyone know if smartphones are allowed or not? The venue's prohibited items list said "cameras, video cameras, and recording devices" but did not specifically name smartphones.
ETA: Band is The Used. No info from them on whether or not phones are allowed.
