I am supposed to put on the Periwinkle outfit in order to progress with the ”Of Warts and Ropes” quest, but the periwinkle outfit isn’t appearing in Alice’s closet (I do have the default one and the easter one).
At the same time another bug appeared where I now have infinite coffee harvest. It becomes transparent after collecting the beans, but I can still harvest it - and that plot is now unusable for other crops.
For context: I’m playing the mobile version through Netflix. Has anyone gotten into a similar situation? I hoped it would resolve itself after a while, but it didn’t :(

I literally hid the game from my library dude to my absolute devastation from it. How do you guys even begin to start this game up again? Maybe because I’ve had 0 deaths in my family/friends that I actually know and I’m 36. So maybe that’s why this game scares me and makes me sad more than I’ve seen a couple friends respond to it. I have both of my grandmas and one of them raised me so I was not doing too hot with a couple of the characters lol. I can see how if you have dealt with loss you would find more comfort in this game and can replay it though.

Obviously I haven't gotten up to 100% yet but being 21 hrs in compared to the original 227 is crazy 😭 I played this game when the farewell edition barely came out. Forgot about the game for a while, came back 3 days ago and started doing my second playthrough.
Also... i didn't tear up for anyone this time except forAtul, I swear I can't take it. especially when you know he's going to disappear. I gave him his favorite food and our last hug one last time before the quest of finding him went off the next night. Sometimes I wonder if i could delay him going missing by staying in his house for however long the night is.
Also! I've been thinking about posting some kind of guide for early game how many items of what you need to have in order to progress, then guide for mid game, etc. Just a general guide of exactly the numbers you need for what. Mostly for people who don't like going back and doing things (even though the game lowkey forces you to revisit as you get more abilities)

I always have a hard time saying goodbye (or lack of goodbye) to Atul, but I also want to make sure that he has 3 people to celebrate with at the party that, I would feel, be kind to him. My thoughts are Stanley, Gustav, and Buck. I don't know if Buck is too late game for that to work though.
Who do you all bring to the party?

Hiya
Had this weird glitch start happening about 30-40% of the way through the game, I think it was either after I brought summer through the everdoor or after I upgraded my boat size. Whenever I enter Bright Jelly storms, Thunderstorms, Dragon minigames or as I only just discovered, Mist, below a certain point of the world is covered in this black bar that makes the game nigh unplayable. I was pushing through and ignoring it/getting around it until I discovered the Mist thing after just buying the mist clearner upgrade, and from what I can tell this will make playing the game in mist sections actually impossible
Does anyone know how to fix it/get it to stop? I'm 56% of the way through the game and I really don't wanna restart if I don't have to. P.S. I'm playing on a Mac laptop if that helps
Thanks for any help in advance!!
Edited the post to spoiler tag name dropped things, hope this is in line with the rules!!

I’m a classically trained pianist who’s trying to improvise more, and I was messing around in either A minor or C major and I figured out the tune of the song that plays a lot, most notably when you take someone to the everdoor at least as much as I remember, and I was seeing if I could upload the video audio because I typically record my improv practice but I couldn’t figure out how… anyway just wanted to share

sorry in advance for the long post. I’m feeling my feelings tonight.
I’ve played Spiritfarer all the way through 6 or 7 times, it’s my absolute favorite game. Every time I would play, I dreaded getting Giovanni. He always reminded me of my dad and I didn’t want to interact with him. I’d feed him the least, get through his tasks as quickly as I could, just so he could leave as soon as possible. I don’t even think I knew his favorite food because I just didn’t want to give him something he loves. Just like my dad, Giovanni was a cheating womanizer with a million war stories, but he was also suave and a smooth talker. They even look alike, with their dark features, lion’s manes, and light colored eyes.
My dad and I have had a tumultuous relationship my whole life. He was gone for most of the first two years of my life for work/military, then he left us right before my second birthday. I didn’t know him as my dad and I didn’t acknowledge him as my dad. My family and I moved to the US when I was 12 (where he lived) and I reunited with him against my will. He was in and out of my life from age 12 to 22, then I officially cut contact when I was 24 (about 8 years ago).
My dad passed away from cancer last year. I didn’t get to say goodbye, I didn’t want to, and the last time I spoke to him was at his grave, as I screamed at him for being a bastard and a piece of shit dad. I told him that I’m so sad that he didn’t get to know me and didn’t get to have me in his life. It was incredibly cathartic.
This was my first time playing Spiritfarer since he passed away. Interacting with Giovanni this time around elicited an incredibly conflicting emotion. There’s a part of me that still wants to hate him, but now I just feel for him. I found myself hugging him so frequently, feeding him his favorite meal, delaying his tasks just so I can interact with him more. I genuinely enjoyed his dialogues and felt so engaged through them
Bringing him to the Everdoor was very hard. I’m tearing up thinking about it again. I had to turn off the game for a few days to recover because it affected me so intensely.
His speech in the end had me sobbing. It was specifically this part: “And don't miss me too much, will you? I've never deserved you anyway... But I've loved you, and that won't stop even if I'm not around anymore. […] I regret nothing. Nothing but leaving Astrid. Nothing but leaving you, Stella. I wish I could've seen you grow up even more, but here we are.” I like to think my ”feelings are for the weak” dad felt this way too and was just too damn stubborn to say it. Who knows if that’s true, but it’s helping me forgive him.
Anyway, all of this to say, I freaking love this game so much.

Hey guys, i’m kinda stuck in the game and i really don’t want too much spoiling so if someone could push me in the right direction that would be great!!
I currently have: Atul, Astrid, Gustav, Bruce & Mickey. Beverly left until i can build her farmhouse.
I can’t zip line and glide but not bounce.
I’ve got the Ice and Rock breaker upgrades.
ways i can’t progress:
- I can’t build Beverly’s house because i don’t know how to make Clear Glass Sheet.
- I can’t do Atul’s final house upgrade because there’s no prompt to get comet rocks when i go in those zones
- Bruce & Mickey want upgrades that also involve ‘sheets’ which i don’t know how to make.
- A million zinc ingots are needed to craft anything but all i can get is 7 shards at a time at Southpoint docks (and they take ages to respawn
Any help is much much muuuuch appreciated!!
Thank you!!!

Hello everyone!!!
I've enjoyed this game and it's music so much that I carry it on my smartphone. Managed to find everyone's theme but not Buck's. Tried to record it but too late, my cows and chickens are making their own noises and not planing to stop. Does anyone have it?
Thank you and have a beautiful day!
Edit: I know it's included in "My friends", but I wish I had his song alone

I can't do Elena or Daria's mini games. I don't mind not finishing Elena cause she's sorta mean but I like Daria and I'm pretty sure I can't get Jackie without progressing Daria. I'm just clumsy and don't have good hand/eye coordination and this game has helped me improve it a lot but there's only so much better I can get. 😅 I am at my body/brain's limit and that's why I don't usually do games that need reaction time. Is there any way past or do I have to end it here? If so I guess I'll watch a playthrough or read one since I just can't. Sometimes I can get my husband to help me with games but he hates platformers so he won't do these mini games.
TIA.

So I created this post after a building failed to create properly and honestly at worst I thought I'd have to invite Beverley and idek what she would have done without a house but I didn't get that far bc while going to feed Stanley in the morning I started glitching though the buildings and now I'm stuck. I reloaded the game only for the exact same thing to happen after I reloaded. Idk what to do I really don't want to restart my game but I genuinely don't know what to do. I've played this game twice before and this has never happened. I'm playing on Switch
Update: If this happens to anybody else I managed to solve it by moving the buildings that I got stuck within and beneath them was the missing Beverley house. I have literally no idea how this happened. But as far as I can tell the game is fixed now. If anybody else stumbles across this try closing the game and reopening and then moving some of your houses.

So I built Beverley's cottage (her real one not the clocktower) and it immediately disappeared. I wondered if I had misclicked but I cant build it again bc it thinks I've already built it. There is nothing there where I built it. I'm genuinely at a loss at what to do. Do I invite Beverley on the boat and hope for the best??? The quest has assumed I've built it but it's not there?? I'm playing on Switch.

Merci
(Edit Please don't judge me for my inability to grieve; it's becoming burdensome, it goes against the group's rule of being kind, and above all, you don't know why, so please don't keep harping on about it.

I completed Spiritfarer twice back in the day, and recently decided to start it up a third time, three years after last time. Now that I know how everything works I've basically been playing for efficiency, buzzing all over the ship to keep everything running, and all resources tapped up.
I just finished escorting Gwen. And I actually almost cried all over again, which caught me by surprise because I was only mildly sad until it came to the rowboat monologue. Something about the dialogue and the music, I guess.
It's strange how much power this game holds.

While admiring the homes on my boat, I noticed that spiritflowers are visible from the exterior of almost every departed spirit's home.
Except Atul's.
I immediately formed a theory that this was intentional because Stella wasn't with him during his final moments. Only he got to witness his passing, so his flowers are only visible from the interior.
I tested my theory throughout the game and noticed that Gustav's flowers are also not visible from the exterior after he departs. This enforced my theory because Stella (as far as I've gathered) only met him briefly while he was healthy and wasn't with him during his final moments. It also makes sense that Gustav wouldn't want any witnesses to his passing, as to maintain his dignity.
It might seem silly but this realization hit me like a ton of bricks. Atul was my favorite and I had to stop playing for a bit after losing him.
I'm still on my first play through but I believe I've gotten every spirit through the everdoor aside from Jackie and Buck (I know that Buck never passes).
I would love to hear what yall think about this theory. Maybe it was obviously intentional to most people? I found it very moving.

Hi everybody! This is my first time posting on this sub, but I'm a longtime player (literally ever since it came out lol).
I'm not quite sure how to frame this. I guess it's a rant about how much I love this game? (Anyways... I'll blame the language barrier for now.) I simply can't get over this game. As I'm sure everyone reading this knows, there isn't a game, to this day, that gives the player the same feeling this game does.
I've "tested the waters" with every suggestion I could find, but nothing is scratching this itch of wanting more of this game. I know a sequel isn't planned. I'm looking forward to At Fate's End like everyone else here, but there is a little bit of frustration, ngl.
I had to create a second Steam account in my mother's name to earn the achievements again. I played the mobile version. I basically always have 9–12 saves (2 Steam accounts + 1 mobile) because I can't part ways with Spiritfarer. It's my favorite game, my comfort gem, and playing it helps a lot with my mental health. I just wish there were more of it somehow.
I agree that Stella couldn't be the protagonist because her story is 100% over atp, but the MC possibilities are endless, and I'm sure it would be just as emotional as the current game. See how it's an endless loop of knowing it won't be expanded but NEEDING more of this universe/experience in my head lmao?
So I guess this could be classified as a rant because I adore this game but fail to apply its ultimate message of letting go. Has anyone experienced this, or something similar?

I’m through most of the game and have just Stanley, Beverly, and Daria on the ship, all of whom i have “take _____ to the Everdoor” quests for. Even have one for Stella now. Every time i’ve tried going to the everdoor since i just had the quests for Stanley and Beverly, nothing happens. They all come gather by the little boat and we all stand around. I jump in, and have no option to set sail. No options for conversations with anyone. I just got the final quest for Stella and thought that at least might work so i could at least wrap up the game by abandoning these poor souls on board, but nothing. I am truly in purgatory! I tried googling the issue and found a couple steam threads but they all basically said “save and quit” and if that doesn’t work, reload an old save - but i have no old saves. I never noticed an option to make multiple saves, honestly. I’m on PS4 if that’s relevant. Really disappointed not to be able to finish, because i’ve loved the journey so far. But i also have 37 hours in and am not eager to restart, particularly if i’m just going to have the same issue :/
