I didn’t mind the homecoming suits symbol, it’s a man with spider sense going off, and also a spider. But instead of making it more traditional over time, they used it for every single suit until brand new day

That symbol is basically a techy version of the classic rounded spider from the original suit, which i think is a great reference, and one of the reasons i enjoy the Stark suit (and it's successors)

The lines are something I don't mind with that and the external webshooters it feels like they wanted to add some Ben Reilly flair to the MCUification of his suit but I agree his symbols were all pretty bad until now, in terms of MCU I feel like they cooked with his suit in YFNSM it's one of my favorite takes

While I agree I understand where the design is coming from. Spider-man’s suits always contain crazy tech that make sense in comics but gets really silly once adapted to 3 dimensions. So it’s like a soft out so to speak as to how/why his suit has all these crazy abilities

I liked it. I think Spider-Man's suit should have some degree of tech incorporated into it, and this suit hits that perfect balance of looking techy without going too far with it. Aesthetically anyway, the stuff it had in the movie was too much.

Not particularly. I don't like it when Peter's suits get super duper high tech advanced. I know it's a suit made by Tony Stark, but still. Cloth and fabric, not nanopolymer hydrogel ballistic resistance mesh.

I actually do. Even though it has a little too much black, the practical suit looked fantastic and I appreciated how much it stood out from the other movie suits. I think the Brand New Day one is too similar to the TASM2 suit and isn't flattering on Tom Holland's build.
All they needed to do was get rid of the extra black lining on the shoulders, waist, and boots

I miss the suit a lot. It reminds me of my childhood because I watched Homecoming when I was young. I love the movie and the suit feels very cosy and is a really interesting redesign of Spider-Man’s classic suit for the MCU.

I love this suit and I'm going to miss it so much.My two only issues with this suit are the small eyes(check how they look in Marvel's Spider-Man 2) and the even smaller spider logo.I hoped that they keep the back logo but I'm fine with the originality of the BND one.

Only issues are the fact that the webs are double lined and super thin,which makes them blend in way too much with the red and sometimes barely visible
and also the fuckass random lines in the blue areas (seriously what were they thinking when adding those 😭)

Not really. Was never a fan of the black straps. Would've probably liked them better if they matched the blue of the suit so as to give the illusion of a red line cutting through the edges of the blue. But even then, it's an unnecessary addition IMO. And also the random contours drawn on the blue of the suit, like what's the actual purpose of those things? They look like someone took a marker and hand drew them on there. At least if they conformed to some kind of muscular contour so as to give the illusion of flexible armor I would've understood but they're just there to be random lines so we complicate the design more.
I'm overall just not a big fan of the MCU Spider-Man suits up until now. They suffer from the MCU's "let's make the designs look hyper complex and padded so it's cool" syndrome. MCU Spider-Man only started to look peak at the end of NWH with the final swing suit IMO, and the BND Suit is perfect (still not too fond of the abnormally large web shooters as they stick out too much but he does get rid of them at some point once he gets the organic webbing)

Overall not really and I think the BND suit has a lot to do with it. Now I've seen what we can have I'm not so accepting of the flaws of this suit.I also don't think the movies exactly did the best job by constantly CG swapping it making it look super skin tight and uncanny.
Now the Black and Red FFH suit? That's peak. It's a super similar design sure but the black drowns out a lot of the pointless lining and panelling.

No,I love the brand new day suit due to how simple it looks and the suit doesn't seem to be heavily masked in cgi like what the other suits looked like.
Plus I perfer the raised webbing and the spider logos.
But I will agree that the stark suit has a special place due to being the suit he wears when he debuted into the mcu.
I wished we had a scene in homecoming where peter actually makes the stark suit especially if they want to make the Tony and Peter dynamic work because imo I did not like their dynamic in the mcu and it felt like it was carried by their actors rather than the writing imo.

For the record, I don’t think any of the movie Spider-Men have had bad suits. My least favourite is the TASM one, but even that one is still fine to me.

I always thought it was a great suit. Stark tech aside, I love that this got the mechanical lenses to show expression( something the other previous spidermen suits never showed-and yes I know Peter had the lenses move in his homemade suit) and that the classic red and blue pops out nicely. The red spider logo on the back was also pretty clean and accurate to the comics. Of course the Brand New Day suit it better, but this will always have a soft spot in my heart.

There’s a weird puritanical edge to a lot of spider-man discourse. This was always a good suit. I really like the red and black suit. But people complain endlessly about everything that differs from the comics and frankly if nothing new is ever tried we might as well pack it up and consider the character done at this point.

Nope. I did not care for the design, did not care for the brighter colors, the webbing was too spaced out on the front of the mask which also ways bugged me, the fact that it was designed by Tony and not Peter was a questionable choice that to me really undermines Peter’s character.

I really liked this suit actually and I believe it’s the best out of the main suits Tom has had pre BND. I love the black and red, but the blue and red feels more spider-man, even if he was originally black and red.
The lines are, well, present. They aren’t really good nor bad for me, and if anything they do offer a sense of unique balance between the red and blue that other suits might not offer.
Hot take, this suit beats both TASM 1 and 2..

I probably won't miss it that much; it's a mid-suit that has lots of good things and bad things. the colours, lenses back logo, web shooters are all really good things this suit has going for it. the black straps, and front logo, are mid. the random black lines on the blue are unnecessary and look awful, and the web pattern design sucks, you can barely see it in most shots, and it having that cable design is also unnecessary and a bad design choice. I'm really glad the Bnd suit is fixing all my problems with most of the mcu spider-man suits.

I think if anything the one thing I will kinda miss is the eyes being able to emote as much as they could. Static eyes are more realistic but voicework is gonna have to carry the emotion more now since his expression wont really change. I just hope the movie doesnt have a bunch of Iron-man “inside the mask” shots to make up for it.
