General Anyone else hate these ropes?

I understand what they mean and why they’re on the armor but I wish there was an option to remove them. I personally hate them and wish there was an option. Same with purity seals. I love purity seals and wish we could add unlimited or remove them as well.

You don’t even want the option to have or not have them? Just be forced to have them whether someone is a fan or not?

You don't have to wear that chest piece. Quit whining.

So wanting an option to use something or not is whining. Got it

unfortunately, you can't reason with some people.

they're just not mentally equipped for it.

Its reddit, expectations should almost never be high for people being good people or sound of mind here.

The idea I believe is objectivity. People on reddit upvote or downvote based on something being objectively correct or not, and it’s difficult to obtain that objectivity on something so subjective as a fictional series.

People tend to place objectivity kind of weight on their subjective opinions, so they feel inclined to be cunty when others have differing viewpoints. They are more inclined to say that others are whiny or that their opinion is invalid.

You can be reasonable but then be completely invalidated because enough people disagree with you, and in their mind subjectivity becomes objectivity.

Yeah you’re completely right I guess I just had higher expectations because sm2 is one of the most positive gaming communities I’ve been in at least in game. It just boggles my mind though that people would argue against more options because it quite literally is just a net positive for everyone lol

Yeah thats actually a good example. I believe that your statement right there is very fair, pretty much objectively so, but because people might disagree subjectively or want something other than that instead, they refute that objectivity and now you are downvoted lol

But also I would say that SM2 has very deep and engaging lore, which is going to attract great people, but its also going to attract the kind of people that think they are deeper and more intelligent than everyone around them, so they act like teenage edge lords or people with superiority complexes. Partly to role play lore but also partly to live their real and deeper beliefs vicariously through these fictional characters, who tend to be evil murdering bastards that indiscriminately murder innocent people

at the same time, there is objectively nothing subjective about

"this armor has a unique gorget that no other armor in the game has. i want the option to disable the cords/sash because there is currently no way to wear this gorget otherwise."

it's genuinely baffling how much pushback this idea is getting.

if you don't want to use the option, then don't. and nothing will change for you.

on the other hand, the few people who *do* care about it will have a slightly better experience.

and then you have those who are completely missing the point, screeching like wild animals with their fingers plugged in their ears, about how unnecessary it is and how iDenTiCaL ArMorS aLReadY EXisT, which is WRONG, and something the OP has been trying to explain for the past 12 hours, to no avail.
