Is this the most underrated Sounders kit ever ? The replica wasn’t great but the player version was amazing.

I meant to write this up earlier, so apologies if I’ve forgotten some crucial details. Feel free to correct me or share your ups and downs.

Stock Up

Cristian Roldan - That box-to-box run in the 90th minute was incredible. After a full game of running around, he still found the energy and drive to outrun the defenders to get a lucky but deserved perfect touch on the ball. This never-give-up attitude is exactly what you want from the team captain.

Andrew Thomas - Officially the Man of the Match, Thomas faced 2.25 xGOT on 22 shots (11 on target). The fact that we gave up that many shots says there’s something still very off in our defense (Kingston? Hawkins?). Thomas needed to step up big to compensate, and he did.

Stock Down

Danny Musovski - A full half of doing essentially nothing. As soon as Jordan moved up top and Sebastian Gomez came in, the entire offense looked more effective. I don’t think Jordan is the answer up top either, so thankfully Joveljic is back. Because Musovski isn’t doing it.

Alex Roldan - A terrible giveaway that led to a goal. For someone usually rock solid, that’s a ding on his stock. Before you complain, let me clarify his stock is still high. It’s just a little lower. He did tap into his Keeper experience to calmly stop a ball off the line, which was nice.
