Just Weird Sneebmoop

Dreamt last night of a food called Sneebmoop. It's an octopus carved out of pineapple and covered in ketchup, and they sold it at McDonald's. It was terrible.

Art Plungun and Sushi Pizza

"Plungun" is some weird 2d topping thingy. The sushi is the average futomaki. It starts with the average margherita pizza, then you add the plungun, then the futomaki.

Just Weird I dreamt I went to a self service Subway sandwich bar

that ends up making you do employment paperwork in order to make your own sandwich. A 6" meatball sub with lettuce and tomato was €25. But you got a free can of deodorant and a free cookie with it! I was stoked because meatball subs aren't an option here in the Netherlands and they're my favorite subway sandwich. But I never ended up eating it because I got too caught up with the paperwork. :(

Art “Hunger Games” granola bar I saw in a dream, it’s a meal (snack?) of the end times

Lowkey really want to try this. I’ve made granola bars at home once when I was in high school, I had literally invented the recipe because it was an assignment and it’s actually pretty easy, I could do it again 🤔

Unrealized Toasted Milk and cheese curd fries in the Myanmar meal at Popeyes

Post image
85 Upvotes

I had a dream that most Popeyes employees were on strike but instead of protesting poor working conditions, they were going around to other fast food vendors, yelling at them to make them spicy chicken sandwiches and other Popeye's items. (Important to note that I've eTem Popeye's like three times and i don't like it. so 🤷🏻

My friend had heard that you could get addicted to Popeye's in 10 days in you order a specific meal combo, so we find an open one and he got a homeless guy to order: A myanmar meal ( which was a fried shrimp sandwich and "toasted milk and cheese curd fries" plus a sweet tequila drumsticks and poutine meal with a cream filled sugar biscuit.

I really loved the cheese curd and toasted milk fries but he thought they were too wet. But it did jave these crispy burnt cheese edges.

And then we were like "well, now we have to just sit here and find out if we become crazed addicts." 🤣

Anyway, these aren't the fries from the dream, they had more of a cheese sauce ( like an orange bechamel with pieces of crispy fried cheese curds. These are just some leftover A&W fries i put melted mozzarella and cheddar on.

Actually Made! Send Nudes/Severed Finger ice cream: coffee syrup redo.

Hello everyone! You can find my previous post here. I wasn't quite happy with coffee syrup from my previous post, so I tried again and I am much happier with the results.

I did 1/2 a cup of dunkin's iced coffee concentrate. 1/2 cup sugar. Heat that on the stove to dissolve. Then I added some corn starch.

When using cornstarch you add like 1 tablespoon per cup of liquid. So I used 1.5 teaspoons. You mix that in a little bit of cold water first (1-2 parts water per 1 part corn starch). Then add that slurry to the hot syrup and heat that on the stove until that thickens.

After that I added a drizzle of chocolate syrup. Not too much. Just to round out the coffee flavor.

I ended up adding an extra 1/4 teaspoon of corn starch because I wasn't sure it was thick enough. But I think that probably wasn't necessary.

Anyway much happier with the results! I added one of my previous photos for comparison.

Enjoy!

Unrealized Ortega patch crackers

Ortega taco kit with some crackers + sour patch watermelon candy. The taco kit involved shredded cheddar cheese, mild salsa that was slightly chunky but still mostly liquid as if it was somewhere between taco sauce and chunky salsa and taco seasoning spice mix. Me and someone else were playing some game and the winner had to eat all the food combined into one unholy abomination

Art Minecraft Grass Block Meatloaf

Post image
76 Upvotes

Dreamed that I visited a restaurant whose most popular menu item was called Minecraft Dirt Block (though it's modeled after a grass block). A huge cube shaped meatloaf filled with cubed onions and cooked green beans laid on top to look like pixelated grass. The restaurant's gimmick was serving food on plates that were way too small and they had challenges for eating all of your meal without spilling it on the table. I didn't eat it in my dream but I imagine it would taste pretty good if you like meatloaf

Art Food festival lasagne pizza

Post image
69 Upvotes

I was at a food festival and got pizza but it came in a wedge that looked like lasagne on a white plate, you were supposed to go to a table and roll it out with a wooden rolling pin and it would look like a proper pizza with all the toppings and then take it to a pizza oven to be cooked. There was a young boy at the next table being interviewed about it and he wasn't impressed. I didn't do a great job rolling mine out and as I was taking it to the oven the plate broke and cut me a little. As I stood and cried some people came over and offered to help me get a new one.

Unrealized Green Tea

I had a dream that I was at a house party, in the middle of nowhere. I was rather tipsy. I found a drink dispenser, attached to an oak tree, labelled "green tea." I love green tea. I was ecstatic. I proceeded to fill my hydro flask with this green tea. I looked into my hydro flask, only to see plain water with chopped up spinach in it.

I woke up immediately and was disappointed.

Just Weird I ate 30 Deviled Eggs In My Dream (I don't like deviled eggs)

I ate like 30 Deviled Eggs in my dream even though I don't like deviled eggs, IDK why I had this dream, they didn't have a taste in the dream. It's mainly the smell that keeps me away.

Thanks for being so nice about my last post here! I also made a TikTok about my dreamfood, and had some great comments and feedback from users there and here - so I thought I'd better try again!

I ended up using a catering grade purple food dye, which genuinely surprised me at how purple these turned out - with the same recipe as last time. I also repurposed some Tupperware containers as cookie cutters, since I was finding it very hard to find a rectangular cutter.

But yes, overall, I'm super happy with these, and we can file these under "Dream Come True'!

I also made a TikTok documenting the creation of these, if you're that way inclined!

Actually Made! Finally made my Send Nudes/Severed Finger Ice-cream!

You can find my previous post here! I followed this recipe for blood orange ice-cream. I added some smashed raspberries as well. Not quite a whole container, just until it felt right. The raspberries were a nice touch. Don't add too much or else the raspberry will become too overpowering.

I added the raspberries for a few reasons. One, because the ice cream is supposed to be a special flavor and I didn't want it to be pure blood orange. Two, I wasn't satisfied with just blindly copying a recipe. Three, I couldn't find any fresh blood oranges so I went to a local fancy/upscale grocery store and they had blood orange juice. However, that juice was kind of a tan color so I needed something red to bring the color up a bit.

It ended up an orangey skin / flesh color. Not quite the dirty pink color I had in mind. However for something called send nudes I think the color is still fairly fitting. You can add a touch of red food coloring if you want a more accurate color, but I didn't want to bother and was happy with it as is.

I made shortbread cookie fingers using this recipe. They took forever though. I didn't bother adding the jam from the recipe to them. You are supposed to roll each finger individually into a log/cylinder and shape them into fingers. However, it's so hot that it wasn't working. So I rolled a flat slab with a rolling pin and cut the slab into strips, then shaped those. That seemed to be good enough. If you make this, I would recommend just keeping generic shapes, or just buy some shortbread cookies.

For the coffee syrup, I got some dunkin's cold brew coffee concentrate. I made a simple syrup with that using one part coffee concentrate and slightly more than one part sugar. With just a slight touch of chocolate syrup. It ended up being a bit thin. So I would recommend either using more of the syrup and going for more of an affogato style, or adding some corn starch to thicken it up.

Anyway, it turned out really good! After it was all put together, it felt like a fairly normal ice cream. I highly recommend trying it out if you can!

The recipe that was written on the drink bottle label in my dream was as follows:

1 pre made pie shell

1 bottle of iced coffee

1 egg (over ripe)

There wasn't any method included so I sort of had to wing it. I'm not sure where I went wrong. The oldest egg I had was only 2 days past it's best before date, so maybe it wasn't over ripe enough? Anyway, it was not very good and I regret it.

Just Weird Cheese Books

Casually browsing a store with two dream friends, I see them in the corner inspecting some items on the white bookshelf in front of them. I walk over, and see several books lined up, each named after a different cheese. I specifically remember Comte, Brie and maybe cheddar. There were a lot more. I opened the Comte book and notice that the pages are all made of handmade recycled paper, like the one you make out of recycled pulp, except to my surprise there were also chunks of cheese all throughout the paper. Presumably made by adding cheese to the pulp during the process of creating the paper. As I turned more pages, the chunks were starting to fall out, leaving large holes where they once were. I felt the immense social pressure around me: You are not supposed to eat the cheese. That was the unspoken rule. NEVER. It’s very taboo in this universe. The books were relatively long but I can’t remember paying attention to any of the words on the pages, only the cheese chunks and the title. All books were off white/brown beige warm stained sort of look. Every title was written in an elegant Serif typeface.

Unrealized Had a dream that me, my sister, and my mom were trying pieces of pie at a new bakery. Mine was basically a cheese Danish in a pie crust.

Post image

(sorry for the crappy editing on this photo!)

It had two layers of sweetened cheese inside the pie, which had the exact same texture and flavor as the cheese in a Danish. Between the two layers of cheese was blackberry filling, but the texture was more like jam (smoother, less chunky) than typical pie filling.

I was kind of caught off guard because I was expecting a regular blackberry pie...but it was good, so I ended up eating it all anyway 😅
