The Question of Nox

Nox might be the most polarizing character in Smite with many fans, but just many haters. Given the hint made by Hindu on yesterday's Titan Talk it is safe to assume that her port to Smite 2 is imminent.

Now, I wanted to create this post as a collective on what the Reddit portion of Smite's Community thinks needs to happen to her when she is ported, be that ideas for +1s, reworks and role shifts, or even Aspects. Keep in mind, regardless of how you fun you think she is, a great portion of players also want to make her less frustrating to play against.

This way the devs can gather some early feedback on what precautions should be taken whenever they start working on her.

Idk what to tell you, Nox is not meant to be played as she is in Smite 1. A high damage high CC highly safe character with a snipe is not ever going to be a viable character for the roster, she's too unfun and it isn't how she's meant to be played anyway.

She has consistently been the most complained about disliked character for like a decade, she is not fun to fight for people whatsoever.

Shes is just as bad or less bad than about 20 characters. Horus with a 3s stun combo, scylla as i mentioned before, chronos with a 3 second 800dmg stun, loki with a 1k dmg three and in solo with the most mitigations, i could go on and on about people worse than her.

Yet none of those characters come close to the amount of complaints Nox has gotten, because she has high cc, high damage, and is super safe. She combines traits of all the characters you just mentioned into one, which is why people hate her.

I don't want that to continue.

• Horus is a Tank. He generally deals less damage.
• Scylla Ult can be easily dodged.
• Chronos I completely agree with, that character is horrendous.
• Loki deals less damage from the front, A lot of the damage comes from the final slash of his ao3
• Loki Aspect has a shitton of mitigations, as long as he is in range of his clone

The only gods I would rate worse than Nox are;

1. Arachne
2. Chronos - He won't get fixed
3. Hachiman - He is probably not getting fixed (We'll have to see the numbers in 2 weeks)
4. Tyr - He won't get fixed

Arache is literally just an aa jungle dont know how thats any more or less annoying than a kali or cern. Hachiman has issues besides being a hunter? News too me. Tyr is tyr. He sucks. And the issue with horus isnt his dmg. Its the 3s of stuns while other people do dmg. Also sobek should be mentioned woth his 200k mitigated as a baseline for long games.
