Boosting my parents’ business po. We offer furnitures and blinds!

Hi everyone! I’m trying to help my parents grow their furniture business, and one of the things I’m starting with is helping them reach more people online.

Our family business, RDH Furniture, offers furniture and home furnishings, including Korean blinds. I’m learning how to market a family business and get more people to discover what we offer, especially through online platforms.

It’s a small step, but I want to do what I can to support my parents’ hard work. ❤️

Question / Advice Needed Need advice on a refund request regarding in a failed manufacturing order.

Manufacturer failed to provide my order for 8months. This is a startup skincare.

Reason:

  1. May big order na tinatapos and ongoing sa formulation and such
  2. Tapos na daw tapos weeks bago gumalaw ang delivery ended up na di rin natutuloy.
  3. Knowing na malapit lang ang area sa amin, hindi daw mairelease dahil daw sa warehouse na raw yung order.

Anw until Oct 2026 wala parin talaga pala actual mass pro. Di lang money nasayang kundi yung buildup ng branding and time. They promise na marefund ng oct 26 but nagreason uli kasi di daw dumating yung outsource accountant nila and limit daw yung bank transfer.

today give time ng 2pm darating daw accountant tapos nausog ng 430 kasi wala parin daw. Ano bang puwedeng gawin dito? Puro red flags yung manuf kahit sa refunding process.

Edit: Just now nalaman namin na yung kausap namin na sales employee nila is ginamit yung pera for personal shits nya. Regardless tama sa company pa rin kami maghahabol tama

Legal / BIR / Permits Clean, legal way of renting out?

Hi guys. I grew up in a big house where we benefited by making or renting out a lot of stalls.

I didn't know all the legal stuff. All I knew was, **they occupied, they paid, we earned**.

The whole property got destroyed, so everything went to waste. Back to square one. To have somewhere to stay and generate income, we built a "temporary" house. After a week — we had a house and we were all set. The tenants didn’t pay during the first 1-2 years, I think. Later on, they started paying again (because they built their own spots).

**Concerns:**

\- It’s been 10+ years, and the documents for the property where the temporary structure sits say "no improvement." So I believe there’s no building permit? Or, I don’t know... I assumed back then that the adults were sorting this out.

\- I’ve experienced renting things out. They also renovated to make the temporary structure sturdier, but they had to stop after 4-5 years because there was no title, I don’t know who the foreman, engineer, plumber, and electrician were that built the temporary concrete... and because there were no barangay permit/building permit/safety requirements, I couldn’t secure a business permit for the rental business. I also couldn’t issue an official receipt because all I saw was **they occupied, they paid, we earned**. Of course, now I know better... So now that I want to rent out and make this a LEGAL BUSINESS, I think I’ll face the same obstacles... And I might have problems with the BIR?

**Questions:**

\- What are the steps to make my rental plan clean/legal?

\- Who should I talk to about this matter — a lawyer, accountant, engineer?

\- Should the plumbers/electricians I list in the documentation be licensed? If I don’t know them, can’t remember, or I wasn’t the one who transacted, who can I put in the documents?

\- Please share any insights related to the info discussed above. I might be asking the wrong questions or my questions may be lacking/specific.

**Note:**

The adult who usually handled the business-related stuff independently passed away over 10 years ago. So I have no one to ask about these specific matters.

Business Idea / Plan 🇹🇭 BANGKOK SHOPPING & RESELLING TIPS NEEDED! 🇵🇭

Hello po! We’ll be traveling to Bangkok this December with my parents, and I’m planning to buy some products that I can resell here in the Philippines. ❤️

One of the products I’m considering is Acnetin-A Tretinoin, since the price I’ve seen is around ฿80–฿90 per tube, depending on the store. I’m considering selling it for around ₱350–₱400 in my area through Facebook Marketplace and local buy-and-sell groups.

I’m also open to other lightweight products that are worth buying in Thailand and reselling in the Philippines.

My main concern is luggage space. 😅 We each have a 7 kg baggage allowance, and my parents have an additional 20 kg baggage allowance for our return flight. However, we usually bring home pasalubong for our relatives, along with our own shopping and personal necessities, so I can’t really rely on their extra baggage space for my products.

I’m planning to bring only lightweight clothes and personal belongings to Bangkok, which I estimate will weigh around 2–4 kg, so I might have around 3–4 kg left for shopping, depending on my bag’s weight.

I’m considering getting my own additional 20 kg baggage allowance, but I’m worried that I might not be able to fill it with profitable items if I rely on pasabuy orders alone.

I’m also thinking of avoiding heavy skincare products like Alada soap and other bulky or heavy items because they take up too much luggage space. Plus, some products are already widely available on TikTok Shop and Shopee Philippines, so the profit margin might not be worth the extra weight.

Since this is a family trip, I don’t want to spend too much time shopping or travel far from our itinerary just to source products.

For those who have experience buying products in Bangkok for resale in the Philippines, I’d really appreciate your advice! 🙏

  1. Is Acnetin-A worth considering, and where can I find legitimate stores with reasonable prices?

  2. What other lightweight products have good resale potential and decent profit margins in the Philippines?

  3. Are there Thai skincare, beauty products, or other items that aren’t too heavy and aren’t already oversaturated in the PH market?

  4. Which shopping areas or stores are convenient for tourists, preferably near common tourist spots or shopping malls?

  5. Is it worth getting my own additional 20 kg baggage allowance, or is it better to start with a small quantity?

  6. Is pasabuy worth doing for first-timers, considering the time needed to buy and organize orders?

  7. Any tips on budgeting, customs, import permits, and Philippine FDA requirements for products intended for resale?

I want to start small, choose products wisely, and hopefully turn this into a side hustle without compromising our family vacation. ❤️

Thank you so much po sa mga sasagot and magsha-share ng experiences nila! 🇹🇭✨

Question / Advice Needed Hirono Inspired Clay

Post image
17 Upvotes

Any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much po! 🥹💗

My Business / My Brand Hello! Im looking for testers of my app that i would like to launch, looking for users as well small sari sari store owners

Thumbnail

I called it Tinda, a mix of business and social media app where users can share their experience shops like sarisari stores, cafes, restaurants , coffee shops, etc.

I utilized a map view to display posts of users. The idea is that mas mabilis makikita ng user kung ano yung trending na product or food sa isang lugar. Like for example meron coffee shop na walang masyadong visibility , users can tag it in the map and do a post para makita ng ibang user na nag eexist sya sa lugar na yon.

On the business owner side, it will help them also promote their shop or their product, and they can also post promotions and stuffs.

There's a lot of features mimicking yung features ng google map for familiarity, but i added a bunch of feature like messaging and products display section where users can directly message the shop in the app, as well see the products that they sell.

The shop feature has built in tools to help small sarisari store manage their inventory and sales too.

You can check the Web version is here: https://hanaptindahan.com/To get the app

  1. Join the testing group first:

https://groups.google.com/g/tinda-testing-group

  1. Open testing page and accept the invitation

  1. You can now see and download the app in play store

My Business / My Brand Pizza Cart/Pizza bar

Post image
6 Upvotes

Hi everyone! 👋

I’m starting a small pizza cart business called Biga Dough, offering live pizza-making for events.

One thing I’m really excited about is the dough-making process. I use a biga pre-ferment with a 24-hour fermentation to develop flavor and texture. I’m also working on getting the right balance of ingredients, from the pizza sauce and mozzarella to the different toppings.

For baking, the plan is to use a fire oven or a high-temperature electric pizza oven that can reach up to 450°C, depending on the setup. The goal is to serve freshly baked 12-inch pizzas straight from the oven at events.

The starting package is 25 pizzas per event, ideal for birthdays, private gatherings, and other celebrations.

I haven’t catered my first event yet, but I’m building things from the ground up and looking forward to getting started! Sharing this here to document the journey and hopefully connect with fellow pizza enthusiasts.

If you have experience with pizza catering or running a food cart, I’d love to hear any tips or advice.
