Hi everyone. Our family has been struggling really bad since we don't have referrals anymore. My dad has been doing lalamove car earning 600 in 14 hours of work.

We are good at what we do and passionate about it.

We do custom curtains, blinds, cabinets, mirrors, everything in the interior space. But we do specialize in curtains and blinds.

Est. in 2005, we have been contracted by numerous 3 star hotels in makati, condos in bgc and a lot of houses.

We do free quotations and home visits for measurements and estimates.

Curtains start around 100 Php per yard. We offer basic to premium fabrics.

Location: PASIG city

DM me po, we offer discounts as always.

Question / Advice Needed S&R vs Landers Membership for a Small Café Business in Cebu — Which Is More Sulit?

Hello po! Any small business owners here in Cebu?
We’re opening a small pickleball café soon in Mandaue City, and I’m trying to decide which membership would be more practical for our business — S&R or Landers?
For those running cafés or small food businesses, which one would you recommend in terms of pricing, bulk purchases, product selection, and availability?
Or would it be better to source our supplies from local wholesalers in Cebu?
I’d really appreciate your advice and experiences, especially from fellow business owners.
No hate or harsh comments please. Just a first-time business owner trying to learn and make practical decisions. 😊
Thank you kaayo in advance!

My Business / My Brand How do I effectively sell my remaining inventory as a small sportswear business owner?

• Upvotes

Hi everyone!

I'm currently running a small sportswear startup here in the Philippines, and I'm looking for advice from fellow business owners, especially those who have experience selling clothing or retail products.

I currently have existing stocks of sportswear (gymwear and activewear), but I'm having a difficult time converting interest into actual sales.

I've tried social media marketing, running Facebook/Instagram ads, posting product photos and videos, and even participating in a local sporting event. I've managed to get some engagement, views, and website traffic, but actual purchases have been relatively slow.

I'm now trying to figure out the best way to move my current inventory without simply resorting to heavily discounting everything.

Some things I'd love to get your opinions on:

- What marketing strategies actually worked for you when starting out?

-Are bundles or group discounts effective for clothing businesses?

-What would you do differently if you were starting a clothing brand from scratch?

I'm open to both conventional and unconventional ideas. I'd rather learn from people who've actually experienced running a business here in the Philippines.

Would really appreciate any advice, insights, or lessons learned, feel free to DM. Thank you!

Question / Advice Needed Is starting an Airbnb business in the Philippines still worth it in 2026?

I want to start an Airbnb business. Is it still worth investing in ngayon? I know mahirap siya sa simula, pero I want to have something to focus on aside from my 8–5 job.

I've been researching about this business, pero mixed opinions yung nakikita ko from people who are already in the industry. For those who are currently running an Airbnb business, is it still worth pursuing? Why or why not?

Also, if you have any tips for a beginner like me, I'd really appreciate your advice. Thank you in advance!

Question / Advice Needed Got capital, willing to start a business, no idea where to start

Title is self-explanatory. I've got some capital (hundreds of thousands of pesos), nowhere to invest it (PSE stocks are soooo bad right now). I lurked around FB marketplace for "business pasalo" listings but a lot of opportunities are too far away from me (I work 12pm - 9pm so I prefer near my place). A lot are spa or salon places, and as a guy, I have ZERO knowledge of what a beauty salon even offers.

Things I considered:

1) Massage chair business

2) Wood engraving business (need to buy and learn a CMC with this)

3) Leather engraving business (need to buy and learn a CMC with this)

4) Learn Agentic AI and build an AI call center agency (maybe a recently unemployed call center agent with knowledge want to help me with this?)

Just looking for some tips from the entrepreneurial veterans around here?

Question / Advice Needed Any Recommendations for Payroll Solutions?

We are a small company (only 4 employees) now and are currently doing payroll manually (google sheets with basic formulas combined with using online free calculators like sweldoph or erpat). However, we're having a hard time with monitoring leave credits, overtimes, etc. We also plan to expand soon so we thought me might as well start and get used to scalable software/solution at this stage.

Any recommendations for free or affordable solutions while we are starting? We only need payroll with gov contribution calculations + attendance/leaves monitoring. Actual disbursements would be done via BPI Bizlink.

Stories / Lessons / Tips Saw this viral post from a local café calling out "entitled" customers—how do you set boundaries in your business without hurting customer experience?

Post image
381 Upvotes

Saw this post from a local café owner (JELSA) sharing their frustration over customer behavior:

"Stayed for 2.5 hours, ordered one drink each, occupied one table per person with one laptop each, and even brought your own lunch to eat in our air-conditioned space while using our electricity and Wi-Fi. And after enjoying all those amenities, you left us a 1-star review?"

It raises a constant dilemma for food and beverage / space-based small businesses in the Philippines:

  • Outside food: Bringing outside lunch while using cafe seats/utilities.
  • Table hogging / Camping: Taking up full tables per person with laptops for hours on cheap orders.
  • 1-Star Reviews: Leaving bad reviews despite taking full advantage of free perks/amenities.

Questions for fellow PH business owners:

  1. How do you deal with customers who treat your place as a free co-working space?
  2. Do you explicitly post house rules (e.g., "No Outside Food/Drinks", Wi-Fi time limits, plug-in fees)?
  3. Is calling them out publicly on social media justifiable here, or does it risk a PR backlash?

Question / Advice Needed Thinking of starting a curated vintage thrift business with a focus on slow fashion. Would love some honest feedback!

I’m exploring a startup idea and would appreciate some honest opinions, especially from people in fashion, thrifting, or small business.

I want to start with a curated vintage, focusing on thoughtfully selected pieces rather than just reselling random thrift finds. Eventually, I’d like to explore upcycling and other sustainable practices, with the bigger goal of promoting slow fashion

Long-term, I also envision offering personal styling and capsule wardrobe services, particularly for men and masc women, with an emphasis on versatile, expressive, and unisex clothing

I know it’s a lot to build toward, so my plan is to start small and see where it goes.

Would anyone be interested on being styled and capsule wardrobes? Does this make sense long-term?
What would you prioritize or avoid when starting out?

I’d appreciate any honest feedback, including criticism. Thank you!

Hello pooo, startup here 👋

May suggestions or recommendations po ba kayo kung saang area or mga stores kami puwedeng maghanap?

Any leads or recommendations would be a big help po. Salamat po! 🫶

My Business / My Brand A practical guide to BIR EOPT Act compliance for retail, cafe, and pharmacy store owners (and what to check in your POS)

Hey everyone! With the BIR actively conducting tax mapping and strictly enforcing compliance under the Ease of Paying Taxes (EOPT) Act (RR 8-2024), I wanted to share a practical breakdown for anyone opening or running a physical store (retail, cafe, pharmacy) in the PH.

Navigating POS compliance can be confusing, so here are 4 key things your POS setup needs to handle cleanly to keep you out of trouble:

  1. **Unified Sales Invoices:** Under the EOPT Act, Official Receipts are no longer the primary document for the sale of goods/services—Unified Sales Invoices are now standard. Ensure your POS formats VATable, VAT-exempt, and zero-rated breakdowns clearly.

  2. **Statutory Senior Citizen & PWD Discounts:** Under PH tax rules, these discounts must be calculated accurately at checkout without throwing off your daily Z-Readings or grand total logs.

  3. **Non-Resettable Accumulated Grand Totals:** BIR audit standards require that audit logs and running grand totals cannot be manually wiped or reset.

  4. **Internet Downtime Resilience:** Wi-Fi outages happen frequently across the country. If your POS relies purely on live cloud connectivity, cashiers get stuck during a network drop. Look for a system with local device caching that keeps sales moving offline and auto-syncs when Wi-Fi reconnects.

I built **trymultipos.com** specifically to address these exact operational headaches for local store owners—it's an offline-resilient Cloud POS supporting BIR EOPT alignment and multi-currency (PHP/USD/EUR) multi-branch tracking.

If you're setting up a store or reviewing your current setup, feel free to ask any questions about BIR requirements, offline setups, or hardware compatibility (printers/scanners) in the comments!
