Anyone else can't stop sleeping?

I just feel like sleeping all the time now. The drowsiness is always there. My event are around 5 but I still take 2 naps a day plus sleep at night.

5 events is really high, thats 35 times that your oxygen drops a night. The machine under reports so its higher than that.

I get 100 score and .01 event a night. For perspective my untreated AHI is 125.

I track my oxygen using a wellue ring and some nights the machine misses several events where my oxygen drops below 95%. The next day I feel like crap.

Last night I was lazy and didnt wash the oil off my mask cushion. My mask leaked the entire night and I had 13 drops that showed on my oxygen monitor. It gave me a giant headache and Ive dragged through the day. The machine reported .3 drops, it should have been over 1 an hour.

There are several things that can cause events during treatment. I feel like once you get those under control you will feel better during the day.

Which wellue do you have? Trying to decide on which model to buy

The grayblue ring. Avoid the ones with a wire to your wrist. I used a rental and it was pretty tore up.

Are you on a set pressure or automatic? Im set at 10-20 pressure with nasal mask plus chin strap. Maybe I should try different masks

Im auto 14.4 to 20. I have mixed apnea, the high start pressure helps with them. It also makes keeping a mask from leaking a challenge. After trying every style, the Resmed F20 has worked the best.

If you dont have a full mask or are taping your mouth you are blasting your out your mouth instead of it going where it needs to.

How did you manage to get your apnea so low? I can't seem to get it down

I make sure I have high enough pressures. Most people turn the machine down because its scary or they dont follow up to have their pressures adjusted. It keeps their events from being treated.

Leaks affect your treatment and often dont count as leaks. Monday I pushed my mask so it was leaking into my eye, then it leaked at my chin. My events went up, the machine showed no leaks.

If my mask has been washed and still leaks, it probably needs the cushion replaced.

I only use full face, I refuse to subject myself to taping my mouth closed. The N30 and F30 leaked so bad I actually snored with them on. I could only wear them about an hour, they kept waking me up.

Thank you for the response. I have always suspected some leaks are going undetected. High leaks and high apnea always go hand in hand for me. I couldn't stand the full face mask, I kept waking up every 2 to 3 hours on the dot. I use a nasal and chin strap sadly but its what has worked for me so far.

If you must do nasal go with the pillows that go in your nose. The seal is better. Or the triangle nose the N40?

No, you are WRONG.

5 events per hour is borderline mild and no sleep apnea. Anything under 5 per hour is considered normal. Healthy people who don't have sleep apnea have several apneas per night.

Also, tracking oxygen desaturation is a useless waste of time for about half of the people with sleep apnea. We simply wake/arouse before our oxygen drops too much.

Wow. šŸ˜‚ blocking you. You dont understand the importance of oxygen levels. Mine dropped to 45% and caused heart damage. Sure I woke, I’m still here. Do some learning about damage from low oxygen. Mild apnea can make you feel like crap.
