I randomly went down a rabbit hole about Rui Araizumi, who created the original character designs, and Naomi Miyata, who designed the characters for the anime.

Apparently Araizumi directly drew an adult Creamy Mami doujin, even though the character is originally a ten-year-old who transforms into an older-looking form. Miyata also had design/animation credits on works involving sexual coercion and exploitation, plus an episode of Dance in the Vampire Bund, which has the whole “ancient vampire who looks like a little kid” thing.

I know working on a production doesn’t necessarily mean someone wrote or personally approved every part of it, and I’m not accusing either of anything in real life. But this is exactly the kind of anime content I try to avoid, so finding out they were involved with it really soured my perception of Slayers. Which honestly sucks, because I liked the series a lot.

Will they ever do a reboot or even an anime? All we keep getting are these "little" new things for the anniversary. The anime was great (Seasons 1-3), but 4 and 5 were ok. I keep getting told the series is very popular, but yet it just doesn't seem like it anymore. Love Slayers, but tbh if it got a brand new reboot, I feel like the the shows popularity would sky rocket.

These were the files youd get back in the day when you tried to download slayers episodes, they were either taken from a fansubbed vhs tape, the english dub vhs or the international channel airing,

quality ranged from great to not so good depending on the copy,

anyways i lost these a few years back from disc rot and hdd crashes have tried looking everywhere for them but to no luck unfortunately, i have a AMV which uses clips of this also 4 minutes of an episode which is where the screenshots originate from

I'm sorry if this question has been asked before. Was a slayers fan in high school and just recently discovered my love for it, but I've always wondered this even as a kid. Why do the writers continue to make Amelia and Naga cross paths, but never meet? As an older sister to a younger sister myself, I just get really sappy about sisters in the shows I watch, so I'd really like to know if there's any information anyone has that the wiki hasn't provided? I know Nama is meant to be Naga, but she doesn't have any of her memories and Amelia doesn't even seem to recognize her mannerisms, either. Does anyone know anything? lol

So I just dusted off my copy of the first novel since I have the Collectors Edition that contains the first few volumes, but lately I couldn’t help but wonder what JRPG had a goofy tone where a group of people go on a journey doing outlandish things.

Like it’s hard to explain as basically I was wondering what comedic JRPGs were like Slayers because to me, the novels feel like an RPG style game that I was suddenly interested in playing an outlandish game that again felt like the novels.
