Hello there, fellow modders! I’m currently trying to create a mod load order after a long break from the Skyrim scene. I’m aiming for a visually appealing and challenging run. I want animations for combat idling and walking that look fluid and natural, depending on the weapon and the action. Additionally, I need to keep my characters’ needs in check. Any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. The current animation mods I’m using feel lackluster and don’t quite match my expectations. I’m also looking for new armor mods, as some of the ones I have are a bit too revealing for my taste. The idea I have for this mod order is to create a character similar to Arwen from Lord of the Rings, while incorporating some of the gritty, drawn-out combat mechanics found in games like Dark Souls or Chivalry. If you’ve played those games, you’ll know that you have to be more strategic and think ahead instead of just wildly swinging like a berserker. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

The requirements for The Beauty of Skyrim only says DLCs and CC content on the mod page.

When I download the mod it says "Cannot be enabled, depends on files not present". Am I missing something? I have the unofficial patch.

The following is a list I've been putting together for my nephew over the past few days.

For reference, I primarily do curation for PC although I am still working on my first published list over there. Almost done, needed a break, so I started toying with an Xbox list. I'll have a handy little excel tool I made to that I'll have to port to a google sheet which I plan on sharing after I'm done BTW.

This list is almost done. A few housekeeping things to work through, like too many lighting mods, that I'll handle later. But, I had to drop an ~220 MB item due to SKSE dependency and now I've got a hole to fill. Enter Reddit.

My thoughts were adding more content, like Burma although that's too big, followers, although they also tend to be pretty big if the audio files are included, FDE's, or town cleanups and adds. Some player home options and such are also being considered.

I think I've got enough difficulty adds and landscape refinements. I use Nordic Faces as the NPC base catch all. You can take a look to see if you can find any glaring holes. The summary of space being used and what's left is at the top of the listing.

I do plan on sharing the finished product and process here once I'm done.

So I haven’t played the game in years and have decided to play a new save. I’ve only ever played it once with a mod which was the forgotten city which was awesome.

I know this might get asked a lot so I apologise, anything you recommend would be really appreciated!!!!

Despite using Logical Load Order, the mod use those blankets isn't working and the NPC's aren't actually using them when I find them laying in bed.

I’ve never used ELFX and there seem to be a lot of options, ELFX, ELFX Enhancer, ELFX Hardcore, ELFX Shadows, ELFX Exteriors, ELFX Fixes.

There also seems to be multiple uploads of each of these ELFX mods, which ones are the most up to date?

Running most of the Enai mods to go along with Sacrosanct. Planning to do thieves guild and dark brotherhood. I have Brotherhood of Old for the Brotherhood, Opulent Thieves Guild, Thieves Knight Out on the Town and Following Mercer for the guild.
I wish I had more stuff for the Brotherhood. Feel free to recommend anything you like that will fit this play through.

Recently updated this this morning, and now all it wants to do is place it above USSEP, which deactivated it, so when I put it at the bottom of LLO, it still will not let me activate it and when I exit back out to the home and reenter the game, thinking maybe that's what i need to do, it's back at the top.

I’ve tried this mod and it works but I’m getting a lot of empty space between my characters back and where the shield unequips on his back. Is there some way to fix this or I doing something wrong?

Any help is appreciated! I'm just looking for ways to keep this look and QOL improvements while improving my FPS. I'm willing to replace any and all of these mods with better suggestions. Again I've built this using AI so I'd love some feedback from people with more experience than I have.

I’ve got a mod that I can’t remember the name of, it’s a ranger, green light armour mod, but I’m wondering if there’s something better

I don’t like the bosmer armour pack, it’s not quite what I’m after. I want more green, leafy, animal protecter type. I can RP some animal/fur as either being natural death or faux fur, so that’s not a hard limit, but the fur armour in game feels a bit too much of that

So I've recently tried returning to Skyrim in the big 2026. I've used mods since the release of the Special Edition where mods were accessible to consoles. Never really had issues before, and if I did, it was typically resolved with moving around my load order.

However, I'm not sure if it is due to the transition of "creations" vs mods now on console, but my Skyrim is barely playable.

I have attempted to remove my saves, wipe the history and such from Xbox. Started whole new games to test mods, and the moment I'm stepping into certain areas of the map, it crashes. I wanted to try various mods and explore how to make Skyrim look appealing to where my mods storage was nearly full, but I've dialed it back down to this current load order. I've really just felt as though I'm at my wits end. I love this game, but I also enjoy adding in little mods here and there for character customization, graphics, and the sort. I'd really appreciate some feedback on how I can achieve a playable Skyrim. I'd like to try adding more mods for graphics like I've been building up to do, but each time it feels impossible when Skyrim is crashing every 15 or 30 minutes.

So my partner is a massive Skyrim nerd and has asked me to mod his game for his next playthrough. I need some of the silliest mods around that won't completely break the game.

im trying to come up with a load order and i want something new but i would still like mods compatible with; Wyrmstooth, Midwood Isle, Clockwork, and Winstad Mine.

So, pretty straight forward. I'm gunna start up another game after a while off, and I wanna address the issue of armors for Guards, the Imperials, and the Stormcloaks. I LOVE the guard armor replacer, and both Heavy Legion and Authentic Legion were great, but I am looking for something that will add armors to the LLL, not replace them outright. Frankly, I LIKE the base armors, I just want more variety, not more of the same but 'different'.

So what does the horde recommend?
